This is another of this chain that we have visited & what a charming & friendly hotel it is. All the staff that we met were so kind & nothing was too much trouble; from Kate who checked us in, to all the waiting staff who served us our delicious meal: then the lovely chatty french bar man & not... we stayed here for one night to attend a wedding (at a different venue). we had a standard double which was tiny - you can just about walk around the bed. The grounds and hotel itself is beautiful, the breakfast was very good. I think this hotel is slightly over priced for such a small room but a nice place... More

Firstly you cannot fault the room, the standard is very high, the bathroom fantastic with its huge bath and walk in shower. The beds are great and a very restful sleep was had. The hotel is a period style property and full of character, the decor is exactly what you would want it to be. The are some niggles though.... More

Usual great standards for this member of the HdV chain. But do watch out what rooms they allocate you. The rooms in the wing are small. Ok if you're slim and solo but bring more than one suitcase or more than an imaginary friend and it will be cosy to say the least. And if the bed was anything more... More

I am a big fan of Hotel du Vin and this is one of my favourite locations. Beautiful rooms, great restaurant / bar, great food. Lovely for a cosy winter WE, when the cold gets too much it's a pleasure to snuggle inside with a nice glass of wine

We stayed at the Hotel Du Vin & Bistro, Tunbridge Wells on Saturday evening which was a surprise from my boyfriend. I have to say the staff are absolutely wonderful and looked after us incredibly well. From check in, to the bar, to the Bistro for dinner and breakfast, right through until check out, they were all so lovely and... More

We stayed one night on 29 April in order to attend a concert at the Assembly halls which are in the same road and almost opposite this hotel. As the railway station is only about 10 minutes walk away, the location is very good. The hotel appears to be a conversion of a period house, with informal reception desk, and... More

Not just a hotel but a great wine bar and, whilst we didn't eat there, a decent looking restaurant and menu. Met with friends before dinner and whilst the service was a little inconsistent it was friendly and there was a good selection of drinks. The rooms were a little on the small side but well furnished and the bathrooms... More

Very good service, friendly staff, nice room, free parking, well located, fabulous meal with great wine - a lovely place to stay. Room wasn't overly large but we aren't complaining at the price charged. Bed was comfy, huge fluffy towels and bath robes, monsoon shower, everything you could ask for in the bedroom - great attention to detail.....we're working our... More
