We hired the self-catering cottage and had a wonderful week. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished, sparkling clean with everything you need supplied, except food but the farm shop down the road has that, and more. Make sure you visit the farm shop as soon as you arrive - you won't believe how lovely it is. Have your breakfast in... More

We stayed here in March 2012 in the cottage (as opposed to the B&B). The location is beautiful and very quiet and tranquil. The farmhouse and cottage are set in beautiful gardens, complete with pond, fruit trees, ducks, chickens and geese. The cottage its self is very cosy, with a high standard of fixtures and fittings. The fully fitted kitchen... More

This is simply the best - in all aspects Ratling Farm House meets or exceeds what you might wish for in a B&B. The farmhouse is lovely, and you are made very welcome. It is clean, comfortable, in an ideal location for visiting east Kent, and your host, David, produces food to die for, much of it being home grown... More

From the moment I booked 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend to the moment we left, our stay was absolutely perfect. The location, room and cake on the lawn when we arrived were all superb.....with the home cooked breakfast being one of the best I have ever tasted......our hosts were wonderful and have created a superb place to... We stayed here overnight on our way to France (only 20 mins drive to the Eurotunnel terminal) and it was a wonderful start to our holiday. The farmhouse was warm and cosy and we were particularly appreciative of the roaring fire in the living room on what was a wet and windy Jubilee weekend! Our room was luxurious, beautifully decorated... More

The ultimate weekend retreat, from arrival to having to head home. We received quality service, top notch accommodation with beautiful + tasteful furnishings, the cosiest of bedrooms, and tasty wholesome + locally sourced breakfasts. Close to Canterbury, in a quiet + peaceful setting. Hats off to David + Chris, thank you for making our brief stay so enjoyable......we shall return!

Wanted a brief break in the country at the end of a busy period at University. Very relaxing to stay here - in great comfort. The breakfast - adapted especially for me as a veggie - was fantastic, including homemade jam from local produce. The tour of the owner's livestock - ducks and hens - was a great touch.

My daughter and I stayed for one very peaceful night in this rural idyll. the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed with loads of character. really couldn't be better! but the icing on the cake, so to speak, was the incredible breakfast with very memorable sweetcorn fritters! A real find! we'll definitely be back.

The warm welcome by the hosts, the idyllic and peaceful amosphere, the comfort of the bedrooms, the unbeatable taste of furnishing in the whole farmhouse, the gardens, flowers and - chicken: What a beautiful surprise in the middle of Kent's countryside. We enjoyed every minute we stayed at Ratling Farmhouse and we are eager to come back for a longer... More

We had a wonderful stay. David met us with the most delicious plum cake. The farmhouse is very tastefully decorated with very high quality fittings. Our bed was extremely comfortable with luxourious bed linen. Breakfast was more than excellent. A lovely place to stay, wish it could have been for longer!
