I was really looking forward to our weekend away at the Arthouse and I was not to be disappointed. What a find… a lovely bolthole full of eclectic art and features throughout – we felt at home straightaway. We loved our spacious bedroom with comfortable bed – a perfect night’s sleep. The laid back feel was perfect for our little... More

We enjoyed our 4-night stay at the Arthouse B&B. The location is ideal for walking rambles in and around Canterbury. Our room was away from the street and very quiet. We were pleased with the flexibility and options offered for breakfast. Our hosts provided quality continental breakfast foods, including juice, coffee, tea, organic granola, good breads, cheese, and yogurt. (Eggs... More

Arthouse did not disappoint on any level (all 3 levels in fact!). Stylish, quirky, amusing, warm, comfortable and SO much nicer than any other B&B we've ever been to. The art all over the house is a joy and our hosts eclectic collection of all things decorative (including their own work) could have kept me amused for far longer. Other... More

Our first visit to Canterbury and a most memourable one. A 3 night stay in the Garden Escape room with en-suite shower. Hosts Anna and John are wonderfully down to earth and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was a relaxed affair as you can help yourself to an array of cereals, breads, crossiants and preserves etc. Having off road... More

I stayed for 8x nights in Ocotober and LITERALLY HAD A GREAT TIME. Stay here if you like; being able to move freely & independly, humourous surroundings, great hosts (I was even invited for dinner with some friends one night), a superb location, a non-commercial ambience, interesting guests (OK, they cannot be guaranteed -- and neither can a dinner invitation).... Excellent place to stay. The flat was amazingly clean and had all that we could need. The owners were very friendly, helpfull and so kind. I strongly recomend the place if you are visiting Canterbury. The place is very close to the city centre and it is located in one of the most beautiful street of the city. There is... More

Our one night stay at the Arthouse was just not long enough! We didn't stay in the main house as both rooms were booked when I enquired, however we were offered the Garden Lodge which I am so glad we took. It was a contemporary building behind the the main house. Although it was close to Anna & Johns house,... More

I hadn't planned on spending the night when in Canterbury last week but decided to impulsively at the last minute. I checked at a couple of the well-known hotels on the main street (Falstaff, St. Agnes) but they were all booked up, however the receptionist at the latter advised me of a couple of different streets I might try walking... We stayed for one night in the Arthouse B&B and were very impressed. The landlady met us on arrival and provided free, off road parking for us, before showing us to our room which was very nicely decorated and felt more like a 'home from home' rather than a souless hotel. We were given keys to let ourselves in and... More
