We spent just a night and we enjoyed the b&b. It is clean, comfortable and quite, with execellent breakfast. The rooms have also a wonderful view over the city. The owners are very kind. A really good place to stay. It is good value for money. We reccomended it to everyone who want to visit Canterbury. More

An absolutely spotless and well cared for guest house, near Kent University and just up the hill from Canterbury city centre. The room was well proportioned and well heated (with thermostatic controls), breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The owners clearly have high standards and care about the level of service they deliver. More

This was out 3rd visit to the City of Canterbury B&B and I'm happy to report that nothing has changed. It's clean, it's well priced, the beds are comfortable, the facilities are great, the views are superb, the location is fantastic and the breakfast is to die for. Don't take my word for it - book yourself a room! More

My wife and I accompanied my son to attend St Edmunds School in early Sept this year. Through the introduction of the school, we made reservation for a triple room through internet. Before we arrived there, I had communicated with the friendly owner of the B&B for solciting some information about the school as well as the transportation from London... More

We stayed here in September on our way to an early ferry, the fourth or fifth time we have done so and on every occasion we have found it to be excellent and superb value for money. Pauline & Tony have long experience in catering and this shows in the quality of their breakfasts. They are always helpful and friendly... More

We stayed at the City of Canterbury for 5 nights while getting our daughter settled in at the University of Kent. Pauline and Tony could not have been more helpful and friendly, and they maintain an impeccably clean and cheerful home. The proximity to the University, the great rates, and welcoming, friendly hosts made the City of Canterbury truly our... More

We stayed for 7 nights at this B&B and enjoyed it immensely. The place was spotless, the breakfasts filling and tasty, and the staff always helpful and very friendly. Our room was comfortably furnished and very well serviced daily while we were out and about, and there is a comfy lounge available for visitors too. Cannot recommend this place highly... More

From start to finish, an excellent stay. When I initially called to book my room I was given excellent directions on how to find the guest house, even telling me how far from the city centre (about a mile) and just about 1/4 of a mile from the University of Kent. On arrival I was greeted by the owner (Tony)... More
