Went there in April for a lunch with mourners after a funeral. Plus points - the waitress was very friendly and parsnips tasted of parsnips and beer OK. Bad points - the turkey was tasteless and dry, the roast potatoes not crisp, the chipolatas (£1.50 extra) were two wizened sausage-shaped things that had absolutely no taste. The peas and carrots... I've stayed there with my fiancé, as I had a weekend course in Beckenham. Location was very convenient, just a walk from the venue. The restaurant on the front, rooms had their privacy eventhough we were in the ground floor. The look of it was cheap, but for the money we paid was good. Breakfast was included, but bread was... We had no issues, car parking, beds, shower, breakfast, calvery okay. The big plus is the tram/train station opposite - "Eden Park" would take about 30 mins to Olympics!!!!!!!! Taxi office next door too. This place is readily accessable to London city. One of our group did complain the room over the Toby Inn entrance was noisy until closing time.... More

Arrived late at night after a long delayed train journey from Birmingham thanks to a signal failure on the line but received a warm welcome from a very helpful efficient young man who checked us in. The bedrooms were clean, warm (almost too warm) and very comfortable. Breakfast next morning was totally self service and had a good choice...nothing exceptional... More

We have been here a few times, and are generally very pleased. We intend to keep coming back! This lodge is excellent value - not least because InnKeepers Lodge do a deal whereby you pay from Friday and Saturday nights, and stay Sunday night for free (even on Bank Holidays!). Also included is the continental breakfast, which is fine, if... More

The rooms are clean and lack nothing. In the bathroom the flexible tube of the shower showed signa of mold and needed replacement. The price is excellent value for money and the staff rather friendly.Continental breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Our only complaint was the pervasive smell of roast seeping through from the carvery, which can be a bit disturbing... More
