We stay in a lot of guest houses and this is the best there is, the rooms are fabulous and so is everything else. We stayed for three nights and would certainly stay again. In our room was everything you would get in a first class hotel.

Having read exceptional reviews of 29 St Albans on Tripadvisor, I stayed there with my sister for one night this week. Our twin bedded room with its golden Chinese inspired wallpaper, chinoiserie furniture and Eastern decor was a sumptuous place to dream the night away. And the breakfasts......well you can tell from other reviews that the first meal of the... More

We stayed here for 4 nights at quite short notice. The large en suite twin room was very comfortable and had all the amenities that one would expect from a good hotel. As we had to leave early on our last day, we were given a 'picnic' of fruit, danish pastry and granola bar, with a drink. A nice touch.

This was the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, the standard of the rooms would surpass most hotels I have stayed in and the breakfast was exceptional; smoked trout and perfect scrambled eggs plus all the accompaniments from a B&B. Looking back at the price it seems like a bargain now. 100%... More

Stayed for 4 nights at this lovely guesthouse. Linda was welcoming, helpful, approachable and above all friendly. Close to the centre of St Albans yet quiet and secluded. Off-street parking, lovely breakfasts, spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated en-suite room. Comfortable and spacious bed. Clean with good quality towels and bed linen. A must for a return visit. Thank you... More

My wife and I stayed here at the start of a tour of the east coast and the midlands. St Albans is on an old roman road called The Watling Street (the A5 to you and me) which goes all the way from London to Holyhead on Anglesey for the ferry to Ireland, like a UK version of Route 66... More

What a wonderful place. We have very fond memories of our time spent at Fleuchary House. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and always nice and warm. Lynda was a joy a meet and couldn't have been more helpful - she even took our baby daughter for an explore around the house whilst we enjoyed our breakfast in peace! Thats... More

This was genuinely one of the nicest places that we have ever stayed; the room / en-suite was of a good size and well decorated (and spotlessly clean), there was a good selection for breakfast (all fresh - seemingly anything we wanted - and cooked as we liked it) and the service was second-to-none. The B&B is just a stone's... More
