We dropped in for morning coffee. The lounge was lovely and comfortable. No terrible background music playing so only the sound of chatter. Completely agree with the poor reviews of this hotel. The Green Dragon has everything going for it in terms of location. And that is where the good points end. It's badly in need of some TLC. Breakfast: more than adequate. It's self-service but so what. Bacon was great, sausages, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms & scrambled eggs. Selection of cereals, fruit juices & Danish pastries. Downside: coffee not the best. Tip: Get up early! Dinner: enjoyable. Four choices for each course including vegetarian options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in the Green Dragon for three nights mid July 2009. The outside of the hotel is in a complete state and looks like a building that has been closed down for years (any maybe should be!) Very pleased. Plenty of character to this hotel: High ceilings, large windows and lovely period details. Very comfortable beds. Creaky floorboards! (but it's an old building) Staff very welcoming and courteous. Fantastic location in centre of Hereford. more

I Love this hotel. The bathrooms could do with updating but hey. I love all of the old antiquities in the corridors, the big comfy sofas in the lounge. The staff are always friendly professional and helpful. We can always get drinks served to us in the lounge after hours. You just need to ask the member of night staff... more
