The location is truly idyllic in its splendid isolation – although the drive up from Hay isn't for the faint-hearted! I went running each morning and these runs were an inspirational start to the day. We had the front bedroom, the one with good views and also the most comfortable bed/bedding that either of us has ever experienced - the overall effect led to some wonderful nights of sleep.
Nikki and John were welcoming hosts and their kids were a delight to talk to and play with. Then there was Winnie the lamb who was affectionate and always wanted to be bottle-fed – and take some bananas if you want to ingratiate yourself with the rare breed pigs! You can drink spring water from the farm and for breakfast you can have Nikki's delicious home-made bread with eggs freshly laid on the farm. Everything is organic.
