I stayed in this 'B&B' for one night. The accommodation is basic but clean. However when in the morning i went to wash my hands and have a shower I noticed there was no shower gel or even hand soap! When i rang the pub thinking that they might just have forgotten to leave some in the room they said... more

they have no soap to wash your hands even after using the toilet, they provide no shampoo, shower gel or any toiletries whatsoever. Breakfast is extra! none of this information is on their website, the say on their web site to ask for whatever you need and they will try to provide it but a simple piece of soap seems... more

We spent one night at the duke of buckingham. Didnt know what to expect. The staff are lovely, even show you to your room. Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. Lots of storage space if needed. Bathroom was a bit small, but again very clean. The food there is amazing and their breakfasts, well i had better there... more

I stayed here for one night in a triple room with friends after a mini cruise from Portsmuth. The rooms are clean and spacious the staff friendly, and what a fantastic breakfast in the morning for just £4.00, full english with fruite juice, tea/coffee. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. more

Sink too small to be able to fill kettle. and only sink was hand basin in bathroom. Bathroom wasn't big enough to swing a mouse let alone a cat. Iffy lock on door. No drawers or cupboard to put clothes except a coat rack and one clothes hanger, so had to stay in bag. Cleaning cupboard in my room. Smoking... more

My wife and I stayed here for one night to do a quick tour of Portsmouth and it's attractions during half term. My wife had actually recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Gunwharf Quays so we looked at booking it again but couldn't justify paying the 108 quid for a bed for one night. A little searching turned... more

I cannot remember the last time I stayed somewhere where a member of staff took me to my room’s door – but it happened at the Duke of Buckingham. I arrived at 1p.m. to find very helpful and friendly staff and that my room was ready for me... I found all members of staff very friendly indeed – from reception,... more

We stayed here after a mini cruise, it was a really lovely, the room was like a studio flat, there was flat screen TV on the wall, little kitchen area and lovely bathroom. It was the best nights sleep I had over the whole break and well worth a mere £50 more

We stayed for the weekend which was cut short due to the awful weather. The Duke of Buckingham is in a first class position in the old town close to the cathedral and Southsea. It is a traditional pub downstairs and comfortable rooms. We did not pay a lot and hed no one suite but there was a mini kitchen... more
