Stayed here with my partner and friends for an overnight getaway from London. The hotel itself is in a great location in the new forest, very accessible from the motorway but still nessled in the countryside. We stayed in the forest room next to the clubhouse and our friend stayed in the main hotel. Both sets of rooms were nicely... More

Sadly my wife and I have had some poor experiences in hotels in recent years, The Bell Inn was a wonderful exception! The food, the service, the room were all excellent. The staff went the extra mile to offer a service we could not fault.Food portions in the restaurant were small (as is the modern way) but oh my was... More

Having visited the New forest in the past, we knew the area pretty well. the bell inn is very comfortable and in easy reach off the A31. It is also not far to visit Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Lymington villages. Although helpful staff when we arrived they lacked a warm welcome and small talk after a long drive. The deal was... More

Hotel is very pretty and well presented. Lounge and bar areas very clean and comfortable. Restaurant pretty and food tasty. However - main course was tiny! I had ONE potato - I expect a bit more for thse prices.Staff very attentive even though they were busy More

We were recommended The Pig by a friend and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. The best description I can give is something they offer: the hiring out of Hunter wellies! Hunter are obviously very prestigious and expensive with a real bent towards the ‘rural’. That’s exactly what The Pig offers. Not having any expectations, the bumpy drive way doesn’t give much... Fantastic! clean rooms, tea and coffee in the rooms that were replenished. Room cleaned after 1st night even though we were only staying for 2 nights. Breakfast - good selection and hot - very nice. Most of the staff friendly. Beds made for a good nights sleep. More

Four of us booked at the Bell for their 3-night Christmas-party break, £399 per person, which included lodging, all meals, various seasonal activities, and a nice Xmas present each. Super location in the heart of the New Forest. Staff are very welcoming and helpful throughout and ensured that everyone had a good time. Our first stay at the Bell, but... More

Instead of having the family at home this year, we decided to try a Christmas Hotel Package and found The Bell via several sites (including TripAdvisor). From the moment we arrived for a three night break everything was taken care of. The room was an excellent one (and for once the room did actually look just like the ones on... More

We booked the Bell Inn in the New Forest as a birthday treat for my husband's birthday. The Bell Inn is not far from Lyndhurst on the edge of the Forest. It is a delightful place to stay. The decor was lovely, neutral but warm colours, room was spacious with great power shower. Bed was comfortable. There was a very... More
