Have been to the clothiers a few times for lunch now, and it is brilliant value for money. 2 main meals for £10 from the board. It has a good choice of food and staff are always helpful and friendly. on one occasion we had a party of three, and they still did three meals for a fiver each. After... More

I stayed overnight here a couple of weeks back, as I was in the area and according to the good beer guide they have several good local real ales on tap, which they did, but no food the sunday evening I was there. The staff were friendly. The room was ok, clean but with a strange arrangement of bathrooms out... More

Didn't stay overnight here, just came for a drink. Pub was a local one and a one half was attractive, one half run down. We sat on the sofas and were quickly covered in ants! The pub is fine, service was friendly, they have a few local ales on tap, and the pool table works. They allow dogs too.

Stayed here in March for two nights great experience, staff were so wlcoming and made me feel at home, did a lot of locl sightseeing around the surrounding areas, always felt great coming back to the accomodation, just liek a second home. Even though it was in the coldest time of year the place was always warm and comfortable. Only... More

The food at the restaurant is excellent. The experience for staying is different! It takes quite some time to understand how to open the room door, put on the shower and the TV if anyone tells you at the beginning. Ask for not having the room above the bar to avoid the music unless you stay at the pub until... More

I booked the whole of the Clothiers Arms for the second night of our annual cycling expedition last month. It is essentially a pub with rooms just to the south of Stroud but adjacent to the national cycling route. I had a very well appointed new, or newly refurbished en suite room, all mod cons. One couple had a private... More

I stayed with my young daughter for two nights and the staff could not have been more warm and welcoming! The room was beautifully decorated, very spacious and immaculately clean. Every question and query I had was met with such warmth and courteous service that I could hardly believe it....one of the staff even lent me their own iPhone charger!... More

Despite the initial disappointment of location on a busy road and dated decor we were actuall pleasantly surprised! The room was nothing special but clean and well equipped.Noise from the road was reduced by secondary glazing and bar noise/music was bearable.Decor let the restaurant down, for what was actually a very good meal.Very traditional pub food, but homemade and huge portions!Stall were all... Our room was very clean and well-appointed - it even had patio doors leading out onto a patio with table and chairs. The welcome when we arrived was excellent as was the breakfast and check-out the following morning. The pub is small but the restaurant is a good size and although we didn't eat there, we think it is well... More

Having spent the morning swimming, my family and I were looking forward to our 1st time visit to The Clothiers. We were running a little late but phoned to explain so and the lady on the phone was most understanding and polite. We are always nervous trying new places for Sunday Lunch as we always seem to walk away disappointed.... More
