Ok, maybe not staying full-time for six whole years, but clearly the *most* discerning members of our party (of four, two kids and two adults) give the Wishmoor House four thumbs up. If my kids like it, then we like it. Good place to stop on a trip from Glasgow to Coombe Mill Farm and St Ives. My eldest daughter... More

Visiting Cheltenham Literature Festival stayed at Wishmoor, very pleased overall. Friendly welcome from lovely couple who run it. Room was clean and pleasant, breakfast was yummy; good bacon, sausages and scrambled egg! Can't say fairer than that really. Recommend it. More

I stay here regularly and have found it most accommodating in both senses of the word. The manager does like to chat but you can always say "excuse me, I must get on". There is a good choice of breakfast, special requests and diets accommodated, if you take the trouble to enquire. There were relief staff in recently, but the... More

Three of us stayed for one night & we all had single rooms. The rooms were basic, but ok. We all agreed that the breakfast was very poor - especially the coffee! However, I know that there had been problems with illness & so this should be taken into consideration. More

We booked last minute due to change in Business schedule and although arrived late in the evening the reception was warm, helpful and polite. There was no problem accomodating our early breakfast requirements on both mornings. Good selection of cereals, drinks (incl herbal) and although we did not sample the cooked breakfast (it was offered) what we saw on the... More

stayed here for a couple of times and the rooms are good, the breakfasts are fine if oversalted for my taste but the manager holds you up to the point of being considered stalking. Polite businesslike conversation is all I want but upon return of an evening I was held up by an hours rambling coversation when all I wanted... More

Stayed at the Wishmoor for a couple of nights during the week while in Cheltenham on business. The accomodation was fine, and my room was clean, warm and well furnished. My only observation is that it looks dated and could do with a bit of sprucing up. The breakfast was the usual cereal, fruit juice and cooked affair, but there... More

I can't really overstate how good this hotel is. My first visit to Cheltenham, and hotel is about a 15 minute walk from centre. Very welcoming and, although I had booked a single, got a very nice double. Nicely furnished room, with tea, coffee etc. Only minor point was that there was no satellite TV, but this is being really... More
