We have stayed at the George several times over a period of years and never been disappointed. The staff are excellent, breakfast and dinner at Monty's Brasserie are of a consistently high standard. If you are looking for a hotel close to the centre of Cheltenham I don't think you can do any better. More

This hotel is just great. Stayed for the Jazz festival weekend 4 and 5 th May and the location is in easy walking distance of everything that Cheltenham can offer for festivals and any other time. We booked last minute for a Sunday night...but we really wished we had been there longer. Staff, service and food were all excellent. We arrived to a surprise upgrade - how lovely. We had a fabulous meal in the restaurant - lovely staff. nice atmosphere...we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely return More
