We loved our stay at the Garden Room in Bourton! The room is small-ish, mainly taken up by a huge, comfortable bed (with gorgeous clean linen), but there is also a table, with a kettle and tea, and a wall-mounted TV. The shower room is also small, but modern, and the shower is hot and has great pressure - just... More

We stayed at Strathspey/The Garden Room at the end of April. There is just the one letting room, which is at the back of the house on the ground floor with its own access. It is mainly taken up by a large and extremely comfortable bed, which is the main thing you need when you're away. The shower room/toilet is... More

After searching for a quiet place to enjoy our 25th anniversary I came upon The Garden Room at Strathspey in Bourton on the Water. Reading the recent reviews I decided to email to find out more. Emma responded promptly and assured us that, if possible an early check would be available so we could make the most of the weekend.... More

My husband and I recently stayed in The Garden Room during a short break to the Cotswolds and thoroughly enjoyed our night there. The room has its own access, and is cosy, clean and very comfortable (it is small - as someone else has mentioned, but not unusual for a Cotswolds B&B); it's also been recently decorated so the photos... My friend and I stayed here overnight during a girlie Cotswold xmas shopping weekend. The twin beds are very comfy, and the homemade cake provided was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely and tasty, with superb sausages & local ingredients. Whilst the room & bathroom is small - this B&B is excellent value for money. With parking in the driveway,... More

My husband and I recently stayed in 'The Garden Room' at Strathspey and loved our relaxing weekend away. For a perfect combination of comfort, exceptional service and beautiful surroundings it is highly recommended. The room is super cosy (with a bed & duvet you melt into at night), has its own access and beautiful outlook into the garden and across... More

My husband, Jack Russell and I were returning to Strathspey for the first time since the new owners Emma and John took over. Previous stays have been excellent, so we were really looking forward to our traditional December break and we were not disappointed. The room is fairly small-but ideal for us, as you have your own key and use... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Strathspey this weekend, which is perfectly situated just a few minutes stroll outside the main village centre, offering peace and tranquility but with all the pubs and shops right on our doorstep. The new owners are running just the garden room as a B&B, which has it's own private entrance directly onto a gorgeous... More

Last February my friends and I reserved 2 double room at Strathspey B&B for our summer holiday (July 2011). Yesterday the new ownership of Strathspey wrote me, and surprise, she decided that she won’t offer in the future as many rooms as in the past, and for this reason she can’t honor the agreement we made with the old owner.... As the new owners of Strathspey we were very distressed to read this review. Care of our guests is our number one priority and hence we had hoped to honour the existing bookings made before we moved in, however once we realised that this would not be possible we informed you immediately. We had hoped that the alternative accommodation that... More

We booked this place 3 hours before turning up. We stayed here for 3 nights in october, for a quiet break. When we first arrived we thought we had the wrong place, We knocked on the door anyway and were greeted by a very friendly Debbie. The room was nice, but the bed rather small for 2 people used to... Thank you for your comments. I would just like to reply to your comment on the size of the bed. I agree that if you are used to a king size (5 feet), it is less roomy. However it is a full size double bed ( 4 feet 6 inches). Will you please contact me as you left some items... More
