We spent 4 nights at High Rother. Alex and Michael are the most warm and welcoming hosts. High Rother is a most comfortable place to retire to after a long day sightseeing. The rooms are downstairs at the rear of the property and provide privacy with their own entrance and have open views to the glorious countryside. Our room was... more

We were welcomed at the gate to the B&B by Alex, and shown to our excellent room down below, with views over the valley through the french doors. The room was more like what you would expect in a 5* hotel such was the attention to detail.Lovely bathroom with heated floor, and excellent shower, and one of the largest baths i have ever seen! One word describes High Rother - Superb!! This is definitely one of the best bed and breakfast operations anywhere and we state this with confidence have stayed in good/top quality b and b's in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The rooms are magnificent with luxurious fittings, a really comfortable king size bed and a sumptuous bathroom. The... more

High Rother is in a quiet peaceful country setting in a town called Northiam on the A28 - about a ten minute drive from Rye. It was a welcome change from Brighton where we had previously stayed the night before. The rooms are modern and extremely well appointed with many extra touches not found in other B&Bs. The bathroom was... more

We stayed at High Rother for 3 days at Easter. We chose the room that has the bigger bathroom at a slight extra cost, but it was worth every penny. From the moment we walked in until we left we were treated like royalty and our every need was catered for. On the Saturday evening (after a day of hail,... more

My husband and I spent Easter weekend at High Rother. We loved everything about it. Alex and Michael are wonderful hosts who really go out of their way to help you and ensure you enjoy your stay. The room we had, there are only two, (we had the one without the free standing bath), was lovely. Everything was new, luxurious... more

Alex and Michael offer the best B&B you could hope to find. The only disappointment was having to leave! more

Modern, warm, comfortable and welcoming. High Rother brings the B&B into the 21st Century where 95% of other English establishments are very firmly stuck in the 20th. Delightful and unexpected little luxuries made the stay memorable. There's so much to see & do round here; I can't think of a better weekend escape from London. more

The reviews on Trip Advisor are so right, it couldn’t be anymore perfect. Starting with the initial booking, Alex was so helpful and friendly, and within minutes of booking I received an email containing recommended places to eat. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and filled with all sorts of goodies, including Organic Chocolate, locally sourced mineral water, a good... more
