We stayed for 2 nights and were made very welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bath towels were big enough to wrap yourself up in totally. Breakfast was a treat with fresh fruit, full english, croissants, danish pastries, tea or coffee all beautifully presented. Diane and Tony were lovely to chat with and we were made to feel... More

We had a long weekend away and stayed at the Oaklands. Tony & Diane were superb hosts and we very much enjoyed chatting with them. When we arrived we were welcomed with a lovely cup of tea and delicious home made fruitcake. We stayed in the Winchelsea room which was excellent. very comfortable and immaculate. We first stayed at Oaklands over 3 years ago and were pleasantly suprised to find that nothing had changed, except it seemed better, everything that could be done for us to enjoy our stay was done by Tony and Diane from the exceptional breakfast of fresh fruits, home cooked bread, home prepared jams and a wonderful cooked breakfast, just wonderful,... We had a weekend away to celebrate a family birthday and wedding anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Tony and Diane were warm and inviting who provided a delicious breakfast each morning. They were very helpful in suggesting places to visit and where to eat. Even their friendly cat was welcoming! The rooms were immaculate and... More

Diane and Tony were excellent hosts, and could not do enough to accommodate us. Their home is immaculate, and breakfasts were outstanding--especially the homemade bread and jams, and fresh fruit. More

We recenty spent a night at Oaklands with Diane and Tony and wish we could of stayed longer. Oaklands is a beautiful house set in the most idyllic landscape with views to "die for". Our room, the Tillingham, had dual aspects and it was so lovely and tranquil to wake up to see the sun rising over the fields. Our... More

We stayed two nights with Tony and Diane for a weekend away and couldn't have asked for a friendlier, cleaner and more comfortable stay. Breakfast was to die for - especially Tony's porridge! Both were so friendly and helpful too. More

My husband and I, along with our 16 month old, stayed at Oaklands in the self-catering accommodation, the Mews, and had a lovely few days exploring Rye and the surrounding area. Tony and Diane, our hosts, were very welcoming and accommodating, and were a great source of local knowledge. The Mews is very tastefully furnished and incredibly clean and comfortable... More
