Pulling into the car park, we started having second thoughts. Going through the entrance, peering into the bar, we really weren't sure now. Didn't seem great. And now I take it all back. I don't think I've ever experienced friendlier, more helpful staff. Attentive but not overbearing. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. And they know how much the... More

We were rather surprised by the few negative comments and we certainly didn't see any 'tired' decor either inside or out. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful; our room (no.3) was clean, warm and comfortable with adequate supplies of tea, coffee etc. My wife and I found the breakfast more than enough to set us up for a day's... My husband and I took our little toddler to stay at this hotel for New Years Eve along with a number of his extended family. We only usually stay in 5 Star accommodation so were a little apprehensive about a 3 Star hotel. We arrived in the afternoon and had drinks in reception. We found our room to be very... More

Stayed in a ground floor room which was clean and comfortable. The shower was very good and there was an ample supply of hot water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Large free car park is a real bonus. 5 minute walk to the centre of Rye. More

Not the best place to stay, bathrooms have left a damp smell in the rooms, very poor shower pressure. All rooms are tired, and desperate for a refurbishment. Generally the rooms were very clean - just quite a lot of cobwebs - the cleaner did everything at eye level and below. The staff however, are fantastic, despite there not being... More

Rye is such a cute little town, although as you walk to the hotel it feels like you're no longer a part of it. Fortunately, our room was lovely and comfortable, bigger than our apartment, and after our 12k walk to the beach, it was a delight to take an afternoon nap. The staff were very friendly, and the view... More

This was always our preferred Hotel in Rye as the staff have always been great, the rooms comfortable and the price reasonable. However although the staff are still very friendly, helpful & deliver excellent customer services. Unfortunately, the rooms have gone downhill and aren't maintained to a high enough standard to command £90 a night. Its little things such as... More

The room was very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. It was our first visit to the hotel and we found it to be in a very good location. The only point that I would like to make is that we felt the hotel rooms were just a little to warm but that... More

Hotel was well located, and quiet, just a few minures walk to centre of Rye, We had a garden room, with small outside patio area, room was spacious and very clean, bathroom large and shower over bath good. Breakfast was adequate, and food choice ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. However food in the restaurant in the evening was not good,... More

Wonderful location in the old town of Rye. Staff were professional and friendly at all times, rooms were cosy and clean. Had a room overlooking the river but dont open the windows as the gulls think its an invitation to food. Easy walking distance to town both day & night as there is no car parking in the streets. Plenty... More
