We enjoyed our break and appreciated the comfortable chesterfields by the well stoked log fire. Service friendly and helpful, food fine. Décor rather dated, particularly in bedroom which, however, was clean and warm. More

Stayed at Halland Forge on Groupon deal (£69) arrived at 2pm booked into room, rather disappointed, bit old and dated and somewhat musty. Had the Groupon deal of dinner bed + breakfast, afternoon tea and bottle of bubbly. Clearly a motel in days gone by.....the food was fine but the accommodation was extremely tired ....metal framed windows in the bathroom, mould around the bath. I'm not sure how much a regular overnight stay costs at this hotel but we paid £60 (maybe a little more) for an overnight (Groupon voucher) which included afternoon tea, bottle of sparkling wine, two course dinner and breakfast.
