We were warmly welcomed last minute at The Amblecliff as our arrangements with another B&B fell through. It was clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms were nicely decorated. Good accommodation in Brighton is tricky to find but I would definitely recommend this B&B and am looking forward to staying again.

My wife and I visited the Amblecliff for the second time recently. We stayed in a standard double room for 2 nights (first visit was with kids during summer 2012). On both occasions we found Terry and Andrew to be excellent hosts. Terry especially goes the extra mile to make your visit memorable (our kids were calling her "aunty cherry"... More

Having stayed a few times in the year and having a great time we booked for new year! Once again the amblecliff didn't disappoint! Terry and Andrew are just brilliant they made us all feel so welcome and cooked a fantastic breakfast catering for everyone's needs. The rooms are very clean and we all had a great nights sleep, have... More

Just returned from our third stay at the amblecliff and have to say what a wonderful weekend! Terry and Andrew are the most welcoming of hosts and made our stay special from start to finish. Fantastic breakfast with a large choice of options. Bedroom was spotless and spacious. Tea and coffee facilities including biscuits which was an excellent touch. We... More

My 'bed and breakfast' experience at the Amblecliff was less than enjoyable and I felt poorly treated by the owners. I would not recommend staying there. I didn't mind when the owners asked us to check into the hotel by 2pm, so that they could have the afternoon to themselves. Check-in was a friendly and pleasant experience and we were... More

Good points first. The bedding and linen were clean. Our host was friendly. The B&B is close to the centre of town and a two minute walk from the seafront. A bit further to the pier, but still not far. Breakfast was reasonable. It's close to good pubs and restaurants. I suspect that the owners are in the middle of... More

This was the second time we have stayed here, and once again we were not disappointed. Our hosts were attentive and welcoming, ensuring our stay was pleasant from start to finish. The room was basic but had all the elements needed for a comfortable stay (the owners are currently re-furbishing rooms, had a peek and they look nice). Breakfast was... More

The owners were very kind and helpful. Seven of us stayed for our son's wedding in Brighton and we had lovely breakfasts. Our room with two singles was fine. Decor is a little dated in some rooms and I my friends found their rooms a little small and in need of some cosmetic updating. We had a great weekend. Beach,... More

The room I had was small and at the top of stairs but good value. The owners were welcoming and clearly working hard to keep the place bright and clean. Its an easy bus journey from the station so you don't need a taxi if you can handle your luggage.

The Amblecliffe was great for what we were looking for and perfect for a 2 night stay for my sisters wedding. It was easy to find and welcoming (both the property and owners), and good value for a peak season stay in comparison to other places we looked at. We were woken up by creeky floorboards from the room above,... More
