My boyfriend and I stayed in the Maralyn Monroe room at the top of the house over the BH weekend and found it very peaceful. The hosts were accommodating of our needs and pleasant to talk to! The room was spacious and airy and overlooked the road but wasn't in any way disruptive of sleep. The breakfast was spot on,... More

We stayed 3 nights in the James Dean room and had a good time in lovely Brighton. The location is great and a short 20mins walk from the station and round the corner from loads of restaurants / bars etc. (Muang Thai round the corner was fantastic) but we had no problem with noise at all - apart from the... Me and my partner recently stayed here for my birthday and considering what other similar b and bs are charging cannot fault the place. The guys that own Colson are a great laugh and really friendly and kindly recommended a couple of restaurants which were fab. We stayed in the James Dean room, and it does warn in advance there... We were booked into the james dean room but had to be moved because the shower kept cutting out. The shower in john Wayne wasn't much better. More than once we were given new towels that had not been washed and left fluff everywhere. Also, there was no choice or menu for breakfast and what we got wasnt very nice. More

Not only do Mark and Eamon run an attractive and tidy guest house, but they're both terrific to talk to, give wonderful advice about the area, and have great senses of humor. When I left my watch at Colson House by mistake after leaving, they were also willing to mail it ahead to my next destination before I left the... More

My partner and I stayed at the Colson House for a long weekend in May as we both needed a break from work and family. The weather was fine, if breezy, and Brighton was as great as ever. The Colson House was brilliant, our host Eamon was very friendly and his humour while serving breakfast really set us up for... More

This was a repeat visit to Colson House after we visited for the first time two years ago. The property is very well located close to the sea and ten minutes walk from the town centre and the pier. The welcome was as warm as last time and Eamon in charge of the breakfast service was as cheery as ever.... More

We stayed in the Bette Davis room - thats the one with the large balcony which was great to relax on - no views except of the comings and goings of Upper Rock Gardens. The room was confortable, breakfast was lovely as were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Also its great to have dvd player in your room.... More

We stayed at Colson House over the New Year Period and for us it was a real treat. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. They helped us out with parking and told us all about the surrounding area with its bars and restaurants. Our room (Marilyn Monroe) was spotless and a joy to be in with great facilities... More
