Stayed here for the weekend and I have to say that it was very nice. Lovely victorian seaside building. The room was nicely decorated and very spacious with an extremely comfortable, large bed. I was arriving late and they telephoned me to give instructions on how to get in and the managers mobile number in case I had any problems,... More

We got moved to the Claremont when our other hotel had problems! and we were more than happy!we had the deluxe room which was fantastic, very clean and tidy, very happy helpful staff.Loved all the small touches in the room right down to the cotton wool in the bathroom! is a bit far from the lanes but a lovely walk... First points:  It's NOT a hotel. It's not in Brighton. I paid a fair price for a 5 star hotel, in Brighton. For this place, I paid too much. These are quite important points. To get to 'The Lanes' is a good half an hour walk. Pleasant as the walk is, I feel a bit conned. We stayed in a... More

I stayed for 6 nights whilst working in Shoreham. The owners and staff were wonderful, beautiful attention to detail, and I was impressed with the artwork, which changes quarterly in support of local artists. The only thing to be aware of are the stairs. Several to get to the front door, and all rooms are above the entry level. The... More

Located about 15-20mins walk from the main 'centre' of Brighton (The Lanes) but not an unpleasant walk. Two minutes from the seafront - more Hove than Brighton. Parking outside at £5 per day which is reasonable in Brighton. Lovely accommodation, paid extra for a deluxe room and it was worth it. Lots of small individual touches that make a difference.... I have had the pleasure of staying at The Claremont for a total of 8 weeks in the last year and I swear it gets better with each trip. The staff is friendly and attentive, the location is perfect (easy to walk into town or the sea front) and the only thing that will get you out of the comfy... More

We had our wedding here 2 weeks ago. The hotel makes a perfect setting, and is only excelled by the quality of service and attention to detail, not just from the management but every single member of staff that was there on the day, and the weeks leading up to it. The Wedding breakfast and late night buffer were exceptional,... More

We have just returned from another long weekend stay at the Claremont, our 3rd stay here. Can't praise it enough. Spotlessly clean, rooms spacious and comfortable and beds are extremely comfortable. Delicious breakfast, all freshly cooked to order. Great bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk and you can park outside for £5.00 a day and forget all about the... More

We very luckily stayed at The Claremont during a mini-heatwave at the beginning of October 2011. On a quiet road just off the beach in Hove (and not Brighton), we found on-street parking very easily (and within 50 yards) - this worked out considerably cheaper as well than hotels attempt to charge within Brighton itself (less than £5 for 24... Stayed at the Claremont for 2 nights early Sep’11, and were graced with 2 days of uncharacteristically good sunshine for our birthday city-break. This is our 3rd stay in Brighton/Hove, so are no strangers to the place. Struggled to find the B&B at first, but as you drive down Second Avenue (towards the seafront), it’s on your left-hand side about... More
