"Feel like home", that's the first thing the host told us, to my girl friend and I, when we arrived in baggies late in the evening. We spent a wonderful week there, met a lot of charming people from all around the world. We were staying in the double room which was clean and tidy when we came up. The... More

Stayed for 1 night, reception area was untidy and seemed to be used for an extra room during the night, found people laying on the sofas and using the area as a changing room in the morning. Basins were dirty in the room so obviously wasnt cleaned very well. Upon check out the lady running the place shouted at us... More

I was studying in London for the Fall Semester, and was told to travel to Brighton. Since we are poor college students hostel was obviosuly our best option. Little did we know how great of a hostel Baggies would be. As soon as we arrived, we were happily greeted and showed to our beds. We were in the largest room,... More

Stayed in the double room. Cozy but adequate. Kitchen was crowded so we didn't use it. Overall good value. More

I was at Baggies for one night, the best hostel I have ever been to. There wasn't enough room to swing a cat in the dorm and even at 5'2" I had trouble fitting in one of the loos but who cares?! The atmosphere was calm, relaxed and friendly and I was made to feel so welcome and at home... More

I'm a travel writer and have been to many, many hostels around the world, and Baggies gets everything right, huge beautiful common rooms, a lovely Regency house, friendly laid back staff and great kitchen facilities. On a global scale it's tough to beat, and now that I live in Brighton I would always recommend my friends and family to stay... More

Good fortune directed me to Baggies during my first visit to Brighton in 2001 during which I discovered the wonders of this Friendly, comfortable, affordable, well located, home-like hostel full of wonderful people. I returned the following summer to discover friends I'd met there the previous year, who were now residing elsewhere in Brighton, still visiting and hanging out at... More

I stayed at Baggies twice. Once in 1997 for three weeks, which were three of the best weeks of my life, and once in 2003, when I returned with my girlfriend. I plan to return In May 2007. I have travelled extensively, and I consider Baggies to be the best hostel I ever stayed at. The reason? The owner, Val... More
