My boyfriend and I stayed at The Cavalaire for one night in January and thought it was excellent. The owners are very hospitable, friendly and welcoming. We booked at short notice and were allocated a family room on the top floow even though there was only two of us. Upon arrival we were greeted with tea and biscuits which were... More

My wife and I booked a long weekend stay at the Cavalaire, when we arrived Garry welcomed us and took our bags for us and offered us a well needed cup of tea & coffee. Would recommend arranging parking with them directly - saves worrying about it as the traffic wardens move with military precision.. We were lucky enough to... More

My husband and I had 2 nights in Brighton for a short mid week break. The Cavalaire was excellent. Garry and Derek were very welcoming and breakfast was great. The position is very convenient for things to do and restaurants. More

My wife and I stayed at the Cavalaire for a mid-week get away without the kids and made the reservation from the car an hour before we arrived. They were helpful getting us parked (a challenge for which they have a good remedy, be sure to ask). On arrival, they got us to our room and then gave us a... More

We stayed at The Cavalaire for two nights and it was excellent. We've stayed before and enjoyed it but this time was even better. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing was a bother to them. Breakfast is fantastic. More

The Cavalaire was a real 10/10 experience. We had two wonderful nights there in November 2011. From the minute we arrived the experience was superb. Derek was so welcoming and we enjoyed a free upgrade to a four posted bedded room - a beautifully appointed room was just a fantastic, comfortable base. Derek recommended some local Kemp Town eateries and... More

An oasis of calm in the midst of a hectic Brighton visit. Derek and Gary proved to be most gracious hosts who took care of my every need. Excellent attention to the details of comfort. I was welcomed very warmly early on a Sunday morning, due to be checked in for that night plus 5 more nights. A large English... More

We had a lovely 3 day stay in Brighton due in no small measure to Derek and Garry at the Cavalaire Hotel. On arrival, we were made to feel welcome with an offer of coffee and a map that Derek explained to us. Our son had done the booking but Derek upgraded us to a better room at no extra... More

Checked in Cavalaire this weekend. We had booked Room No.1 but Derek upgraded us to No.3 - with no extra charge - which was amazing. Everything in the room was in the money: great bed, elegant decoration, spacious bathroom with good quality towels, clean and warm. Breakfast was one of a kind with great variety: cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes,... More

We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Brighton, staying at the Cavalaire Hotel. The accommodation was lovely with a real homely, cosy feel to it. We were given a choice of two rooms and we ended up not having the room I had booked but instead having room 10 which I did not initially book as the pictures... More
