We booked this 'Boutique' hotel after enjoying previous vists to Brightons hotels... and I'm sorry to say this was a poor relation. Giving a room a theme does not make it a boutique... it's just a tired room with fake grass on the floor... We were really disappointed. Although the first mistake was booking the room via thrid party room... more

Dear guests, We are sorry you had a less than satisfactory stay at our boutique hotel. The problem with the water heater was rectified as soon as possible but it was not possible to get someone out to fix it that evening. It was fixed, not whilst you were staying with us, but the very next day. We apologise for...

Gerrards Hotel, Brighton was a big disappointment. I am absolutely shocked that this hotel is rated 4 star. We stayed in the Alpine room, so maybe be we were unlucky and got the worst room, as most of the reviews on Trip Advisor rated this hotel is being good! We walked into our room and was faced with a mangy... more

Thank you for your comments which are always welcome. The cleanliness of your room was clearly below our normal standard and for this we apologise. I have checked it today and the covers and cushions are perfectly clean, which is what we would normally expect. The shower room is of a standard size, along with 2 others in our hotel,...

In my experience, the service was exceptional and always with a smile. The rooms were great mine had an Indian theme other rooms had other themes. The location is ideal with a 10 minute walk you can visit the beach and the pier. Pubs, clubs and restaurants are plentiful What I liked best was after I was finished with everything... more

Booked a one night stay there with my girlfriend. We were originally reserved the Colonial room but when we arrived we were given the 'Jungle' Room. Not a problem though as the Jungle room probably has the best view. Helpful and friendly reception. Room was very funky, i suppose it could be called gimmicky but thats ok with me! Very... more

Stayed in Alpine, friends were in Zen. Decor just made you smile it was so quirky. Very clean and comfortable, staff made you very welcome. Aside from everything else, it is worth staying just for the breakfast in the morning. Beutifully contemporary in design and the staff are so good. Not a veggie myself but I witnessed the best vegetarian... more

Expected to be decorated/used as kids room but one child has to be accompanied by an adult-terrible for children even. Uncomfortable, squeaky beds, thick dust under the bed, couldn't get lead to mirror to dry hair, broken plug in sink, no proper heating - electric heater, no bedside lights so even though couldn't sleep-couldn't read either without turning on main... more

We are very sorry that this room was not up to our usual high standards. The beds in this room have now been looked at. There are lights in the bedside tables although these are not immediately obvious so this too is being looked into. Cosmos our only twin room is our last room to undergo refurbishment. This will take...

We have just arrived home from a nice 2 night relaxing break. We opted for the Superior 4 poster bed accomodation which in our case was the Jungle room. My immediate concern when booking this hotel was ' is it going to be a bit tacky and cheap'. To our suprise the room was tastefully done with a four poster... more

I stayed in the Colonial room for two nights. The room was really well decorated with great attention to detail. It was clean and comfortable. The bath was bigger than usual, great for relaxing. The room was on the main staircase so fairly susceptible to the noise of people going to their rooms. The room next door was having work... more
