booked our room a few months back and managed to book 2 rooms at £25 each :) after reading reviews I was very apprehensive about our stay. As I walked around the corner from the NCP carpark I thought oh dear what have I done?? as I walked into the hotel it was clear it could do with a lick... More

I have just returned from a weekend stay with my husband and mum. I have long been of the opinion that with a Travelodge, you know what you're getting with a Travelodge, but this hotel has changed my opinion on that! The hotel itself is tired and in need of refurbishment, and the rooms were smaller than we've experienced in... More

I staid here for one night following the 2013 London to Brighton bike ride. The cost was £101, which is not a 'budget' price. I've stayed at a lot of Travelodges and Premier Inns and used to consider the on par, but after several disappointing trips I now see they are anything but. The Good: - They let riders put... More

Main entrance was filthy with cigarette ends littering the pavement. Upon going to bed we found the mattress was full of springs actually coming through the mattress itself. It was so uncomfortable we didn't sleep all night. Who has mattresses with springs inside these days (Judging by the state of the bed we thought it may have been a reject... More

Building seems to be a bit run down. Signs with letters and words missing. Room still with waste from previous occupier. Only 1 extra pillow so we had to go to reception to order another and take it to our room ourselves. Some staff in the bar had an attitude. We will not be returning.

After reading the reviews I was dreading it!!! The exterior doesn't do itself any favours, not very clean. Also the dustman were on strike in brighton, so rubbish everywhere. I asked for a quiet room and was allocated 819 on top floor. Room small, bathroom spotless. New shower curtain and shower head. Room was very quiet. Parking a joke £25... More

It was my 1st experience with Travel Lodge hotels and very positive. Check in was quick and smooth. The corridors a bit long with multiple doors looked a bit like a student accommodation. The rooms was very big with double bed which actually looked like at least king size. The window view wasn't the most beautiful, but I haven't paid... More

Myself and 21 other friends have just returned from a weekend at this dirty hotel, and if this is what the owners of Travelodge offer then they have lost bookings from ALL 22 dissatisfied full paying guests in the future, This started many months ago when we tried to book 11 twin rooms at this hotel one with disabled facilities,... Room 719 was basic yet functional with generic mdf furniture and cleaned to a high standard. The room was serviced to a high standard daily. The location of the hotel is perfect for the beach, city centre, and main entertainment area. Neighbouring nite clubs can make for a noisy night even with windows closed. Electronic check in terminals did not... More

I've never stayed in a Travelodge before and I never will again. I didn't expect much, just basic accommodation, but I was still very disappointed. I think I read a review which said it was like a prison camp, and I can completely agree with that comparison. It was depressing and our group stayed in the hotel as little as... More
