Totally agree with Zazzy50 comments. We stayed this weekend over the 26th May - The receptionist couldnt be bothered to phone house keeping to see if the room was ready as we had arrived early - we also stayed in an Executive King room which was run down, bathroom towels like sandpaper, cheap toilet paper, no air conditioning switched on,... For £189 per room per night - we booked 2 " Executive King Rooms".For your £189 you carry your luggage to rooms!! The floor boards in corridors/rooms creak. Rooms look like run down bedsits!! The furniture is tattered/broken! Windows dont open! Bathroom is cramped and dated. Bar was dirty. We saw crockey getting piled up from the afternoon to the... More

too dated, needs some refurbishment.. that the only thing i can say : not worth the £139 per room that my friend and i paid!!!!! only positive thing: very comfy bed! I don't think I would recommend it. for the money we paid I'm pretty sure we could have found something better. i was not impressed at all More

We have just spent a enjoyable weekend at this hotel, and it was fantastic. Yes, it could do with some refurbishment but it is a old building and the very slight defects only add to its charm. The staff we attentive and pleasant, happy to be of service. Our room was amazing. Huge bed and lovely views. My only complain would be... More

Pleasantly surprised that there was a valet service for parking the car! The entrance is very grand, but was you get deeper in to the hotel it gets more drab and tired. My room was not sea view and therefore was a "road view". The road was very noisy and didn't seem to get less busy through the night. The... More

I stayed for a business trip for 4 nights in May. With it's great location and it's history this hotel has the potential to be the best hotel in Bournemouth. It's recently changed from the De Vere Group to Brittania. I will be interested to see if Brittania will invest the money in improving this wonderful hotel. I will summarise... More

Stayed for 4 nights in may. This a beatiful hotel that needs some love. The pool and gym are poor, don't go near the steam room. The staff were lovely but even they were a bit shame faced about the bar prices. I understand the hotel has been taken over and hope it gets the update required. Lovely location. More

Visited the Royal Bath with my girlfriend for a midweek getaway. We had decided to treat ourselves to a premium priced hotel rather than a Premier Inn etc, so paid for five nights at £97 per night for bed and breakfast. We noted that there were mixed reviews for the hotel, but because it was a DeVere we decided to... More

My husband and i and our dog Molly were made very welcome in the Royal Bath Hotel. The room had wonderful sea views and was light and airy. The wonderful character of this old hotel remains, all the wonderful architecture of time gone by is there to admire. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a very... More

I have come to believe that a hotel is only as good as its cheapest room, at the Royal Bath it is about £79 and that is still expensive. Service reflects this amount. I have just come back from an overnight stay with my aged parents, which necessitated a connecting room, and the only one available was £228 so with... More
