The Great Grubb and it's owners Ben & Amy have created a calming, comfortable haven in Totnes. The couple are helpful and welcoming and also offer their own methods of going the 'extra mile' to help out their guests - in my case, I was picked up from the station, had my ipod charged and gratefully left with some sandwiches... We nearly cancelled on this place concerning possible lack of en suite but a quick call confirmed apparently all the rooms have en suite bathrooms. We're so glad we didn't cancel, this is an excellent B & B with very friendly owners. The room was spotless, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Ben & Amy made the perfect hosts; there when you needed them, but not in your face. The room was exceptionally inviting, spotlessly clean, & very quiet. Only the early morning birds could be heard, no traffic noise whatsoever. Nice touches, like a small vase of fresh carnations in the room. Friendly, welcoming, relaxed and comfy. Really great home cooked breakfast. Retro Eco decor a welcome change from other b&bs. Very good value for money and only a short walk from high street. Room a little small but wasn't in Totnes to hang out indoors. More
