This is our sixth visit to this hotel and we were delighted to have received the same standard of service as on all our previous visits.Hotel room [club room] clean and bright with great sea views. Bar staff, waiting staff and reception were very polite, efficient and attentive. The chef and his staff are to be complimented on the standard... More

Thank you for your very kind words, and I am delighted Taffyducks that you enjoyed your sixth stay with us so much. I do share your opinion that we have the best view out of all Torquay's hotels, and also that we represent excellent value for money, which is why so many of our guests return repeatedly to us. I... Visited Torquay on many occasions, but this time it was something completely upmarket! The service, attention to detail and hospitality is second-to-none! Steeped in history this beautiful hotel is about 15 minutes walk down to the harbour. Complementary taxi at 10am from the hotel and 4.30pm from the harbour is a special extra. The food is amazing and the restaurant... More

Fabulous that you have stayed with us three times from just across the bay, and it is terrific to hear that you enjoyed everything so much. We look forward to many more visits from you both. A reminder that we offer our complimentary taxi service to and from the harbour every day of the year to all our guests. More

On arrival we were dealt with quickly and politeness. Our room was fantastic with a stunning view over the beautiful garden and to the sea beyond. The food was of a very high standard and the service given by the waiting staff totally excellent. Parking is a little tricky but this is being addressed with a new car park currently... More

Booked 2 single Club rooms for 1 night. Room 156 and Room 170. Room 156 was the better of the two but that isn't saying much. These were apparently not the lowest standard of room available. I shudder to think what I could have had. I was in room 170, which was tiny - OK, I know it was a... More

Whilst we welcome all feedback from guests, good or bad, it is immediately clear from your dismissive headline (actually quite offensive to our many other guests) and your early comments, that you are only interested in attempting a “hatchet-job” on us. There may have been valid issues during your one-night stay, but your complete lack of balance and perspective means... More

Room very clean and tidy but only accessible by stairs and being a 'standard' room lacked sea view, but adequate for two night stay. Hotel outdoor swimming pool well worth a dip for this was very warm although a little small for swimming, ask for two towels as the towels supplied are a little small. Six course dinner with plenty... More

Thank you for your time and trouble in posting a review. Yes we are in an elevated position, but this gives us our fantastic views. Long-awaited work on expanding our car-parking starts imminently, to be completed in next two months, and the complimentary taxi service which you mention is extremely popular. I am glad you found the food to be... More

I stayed at the Headland for 5 days last week as a member of a coach party. The service received from day one was really good and we even had a personal welcome from the hotel manager. Lovely to receive your feedback, and I am delighted you feel able to highly recommend us. It is always good to get confirmation that what we are aiming for is being achieved. Recently organised a coach party for Age Uk, a group of 29 with the youngest 4 and the eldest 91. Thank you so much Matthew for taking the time to send your glowing review. It is very gratifying to hear that your group enjoyed all elements of their stay. The general ambience of the hotel is often commented upon very favourably, as is the comparison with a cruise experience. We are proud that all our rooms have their own individuality... More

The Hotel is located in a beautiful setting. The room was comfortable and clean with a wonderful view of the Bay. This is more of a 3 star hotel - comfortable but nothing special. Where I found it disappointing was firstly the food. I would not recommend eating there as both the food and service was poor. The dinning room... More
