This hotel is inexpensive and the room we had was pretty much acceptable for the price. Everything worked even though it wasn't particularly nice to look at. Sheets were clean and fresh but I'm pretty sure they don't change the quilt covers each time between guests - hence the sheets..........just don't think about it!...........so room OK, warm and shower worked.... more

when we first arrived, we were quite happy with the location however! as soon as i walked into the room, there was a mouldy smell and the shower wasnt working properly and there was mould everywhere in the bathroom, the tv looked like it was about 50 years old! when i asked if we could have another room the response... more

I stayed in this hotel for a weekend with family. After reading some bad reviews of this hotel i was a bit concerned, but i was pleasantly surprised of how nice this hotel was. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast and dinner were served very quick and tasted quite nice. The entertainment on Saturday nite was good... more

First we were offered a room with no shower, the toilet was blocked and the tiles looked as if they could do with a good clean, mould was growing between the grouting and the bath had a slight yellow tinge to it. When i asked for a room with a shower, the staff did move us, though the shower was... more

We stayed here for two nights and it was the worst hotel we have stayed in........... \the food at dinner was inedible just like "slop" but the breakfast was ok. The service was very rushed and the waiting staff were bringing your main course before you had finished your starters.............the food was luke warm and pre-prepared and the serving dishes... more

What can we say, such a brilliant Tinsel & Turkey 4 night break. My sister and I have never taken a coach holiday together as we are both VERY picky!. Our rooms 18 22 the beds were both very comfy and with clean pillows "yes we looked under the pillowcases" the sheets... real hospital corners and the duvets were fluffed... more

A brilliant 4 night stay! Room and hotel in general, were clean and nicely decorated. All the staff were an asset to the hotel. The food was excellent, with a different 3 course menu served every night, compliments to the chef and the waitresses. The indoor heated swimming pool was a welcomed bonus and there was great entertainment provided every... more

If you like your food plated up for you for breakfast and evening meal then this is the place for you.Problem was it is plated up for a long time so all the food is soggy. Had to queue for access to dinning room as only one sitting and wine must be paid for in cash there and then. rooms... more

My elderly mother and I have just stayed at this hotel. I had read some of the reviews on here and didn't quite know what to expect. I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. Ok so the hotel is a little out of the centre of Torquay, but that means there is not too much noise to... more

NOT a Hotel for the disabled or elderly as there is no lift or stair lift and there are only 9 rooms on ground flooor. It means climbing a minimum of 16 stairs to reach floor one and of course even more for those rooms above. Also the dinning room is below the ground floor and necesitated negotiating a further... more
