We have just spent a week at the Albaston. First of all I would like to thank Joe and Heather for the wonderful welcome they gave us,and the overall experience of our stay. The Albaston is a lovely family run hotel, it is very comfortable, friendly and just a short walk from the town centre. The food is of high quality,... More

We had read the reviews on tripadvisor before we went and it helped us to decide whether to go or not. It was our first spontaneous trip; we booked it two days before we went and glad we did so. We were greeted by Heather Darwish who owns the hotel, along with her husband, Joe. She was very pleasant to... More

We stayed in this hotel because of the location, which is close to other friends we have in the area. However the contact on the phone to book the room, the welcome and the general clean and tidy appearance were well worth the £110 for 2 nights we paid. The hotel has a bar and a nice lounge area for... More

A warm welcome awaits you from Heather and Joe at the Albaston House Hotel. It is very clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble for them. Centrally situated between Torquay centre/harbour and Babbacombe. Breakfasts are first class and set you up for the day ahead. As our short stay was so enjoyable, we have no hesitation in recommending... More

I recently stayed at this most charming place again. I usually take my students over there for their language stay, as I'm a Swiss teacher of English. I can highly recommend this place: Great location, great food, beautiful rooms and, above all, great people - truly British, yet with quite an international touch. Heather and Joe will make you really... More

Albaston House Hotel is only minutes from the town centre so it was easy to find. Heather and Joe were most welcoming which made us feel at home straight away. We found our room very cosy and comfortable, and it had an excellent view. I must add that Heather cooks a delicious dinner! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. More

A unique atmosphere and a very good bed makes this one of my favourite hotels. Also a perfect place for a woman when travelling alone. I really felt "at home" just the way I like it. More

My Partner and I stayed at the Albaston House Hotel once again in March, on a visit to my home town. Seeing Heather and Joe again was a delight as always, as they are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the food absolutely delicious and the service as always was wonderful. I have a couple of medical... More
