Mr Tank. Nothing but thumbs up for this hotel. As soon as we stepped in the hotel, Louise made us feel part of the family. Easy access, easy parking 1 minute from the town center. As for catering, if you wanted something just ask! We travel all over mainland UK every year and never before have we came away pleased... More

This is a typical old fashioned hotel and kind of larger B & B. The floors creaked, carpet in the ensuite a feeling that you are intruding in someones home. Not that I wasn't made welcome I was and that is were the warmth came from. Staff are lovely and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was good and location ideal.

Firstly... If carlsberg made hotel managers... Louise is professional, friendly and helpful, proud of her lovely hotel and it certainly shows within the beautiful hotel and it's well kept grounds. Room was tidy, clean, and in quiet location for a peaceful night sleep. Had all the basic requirements for a quality stay. Breakfast was very satisfying, a great selection to... More

Whilst good quality meals with plenty of choice and efficient waiting staff the management seriouly lack people skills. Absolutely no sympathy or compassion evident if you are unlucky enough to be taken quite poorly whilst on holiday there. Expensive holiday, would expect more however the bedroom was sparse and the en-suite was barely funtional.

A lovely old style hotel, with bright high rooms and masses of space everywhere (except in the bathroom, but it was ok). Breakfast was excellent being a true ''full english'', my weekend treat. But the star attraction has to be Louise, very helpful and properly attentive, supported by serving staff who were caring and efficient even with a full house.... More

I stayed at the Allerdale while attending a conference in Torquay. The proximity of the Riviera center (conference venue) has to be its number one attraction. Also, for business users, free wifi throughout the hotel is a bonus that you perhaps wouldn't expect in what is otherwise quite a traditional seaside hotel. The building is delightful as are the gardens.... More

A very friendly welcome from this family run hotel. We were well located for the conference centre and the town, and the hotel has a lovely garden which made it very peaceful too. Our room was large and comfortable with a good shower. It's always nice to have armchairs to sit in as well as the bed to lounge on! Although... More

While I do not disagree with the fabulous comments already posted about both the service and location of the Allerdale hotel, I must protest a little. I love the character of the hotel, the dated features have been well preserved and cared for, the garden is in fact very beautiful, the location is great with only a short walk to... More
