I booked this hotel for my elderly mother and father in April 2012 (they have stayed there many times before) and as always they/I was not disappointed. The staff are excellent, extremely efficent and cannot do enough to assist - they are a real asset.

Just stayed at the hotel when the Young Farmers convention was in the town. Not the most pleasant group of people to share a holiday at the same time. I was shocked at how the management that were present allowed drunken idiots who had already been thrown out of one establishment in the town for their drunken behaviour to expose...

I am sorry that your stay was marred by a few indivuals behaviour. The vast majority of the young farmers were very well behaved and courteous as they have been in the past, whenever they have stayed in the town. They do take over the town in large numbers, but are generally no problem.

We have revisited the Torbay hotel with Shearings. This time we had a room at the front of the hotel on the 2nd floor. The room was a familyroom it had a good view over the garden was clean, large, this was ideal for us as my daughter is blind she had no problems finding her way around the room...
