Where do I start! On entering the Hotel everything is dated with a horrible burgundy carpet/chipped paintwork throughout. We arrived for Sunday Lunch for three people with a table reserved beforehand. Their was no table for three people reserved but this was not an issue as there was only two other people in the cold and draughty restaurant! The menus... more

I stay at the Elfordleigh quite frequently with business but I don't think I will be staying there again... The evening dinner from the bar is actually quite good, but the breakfast is awful. Little or no service in the dining room at breakfast (they seem to spend all their time in the kitchen without considering the customers waiting) so... more

We had our wedding reception at the Elfordleigh and I wondered how it would turn out. We can't thank the staff enough, they bent over backwards to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. What I particularly noticed was their warmth and genuine interest in making our stay as smooth as possible, nothing was too much trouble. Very often you get... more

Beautiful location. Fantastic, superbly clean leisure & fitness facilities. Brilliant light & airy pool. Out of the way location so (weddings days apart) a quiet venue. Excellent brasserie menu & food. Restaurant OK - the menu was quite limited with rather amateur waitress service but friendly enough. The restaurant surroundings were a bit mediocre with a continuous drone from the... more

We stayed here for two nights and had a gorgeous room overlooking the golf course. The hotel is in a really quiet setting and the location is great if you don't want to be right in plymouth as its easy to get into and out of plymouth. It cost us about £10 for a taxi into plymouth. The breakfast was... more

Hotel is rather dated and needs updating Staff seemed uninterested and unskilled in their roles. Lunch and Dinner menus were the same and very few choices and for the price was poor, breakfast terrible. Room was large and clean but did not have radiator turned on and was therefore cold in the room with outside temperature just 1 degree. Bed... more

We stayed here for a wedding earlier this year and it was the perfect setting. The weather was supurb and the food was great. The boys all took full advantage of the golf course and us girls of the great wine list. The rooms were very clean as were the common areas, the staff were all very friendly. We have... more

Stayed here in Feb whilst attending a wedding in the area. The reception was actually in the hotel. The room we stayed in was pretty big, and the bathroom was too. Guess we had a family room as included a double bed and a set of bunk beds. The light in the rooms is pretty good and they back out... more

This was a last minute get away over Easter weekend. Never been to Plymouth so thought it might be nice. This hotel seemed good value for money and relatively close to Plymouth itself, but with a countryside feel to it. Food and service in the brasserie/bar area were fairly good, if a bit pricey and not very varied. The atmosphere,... more
