Stayed two nights, a lot of reconstruction going on in the grounds and parking areas which made it a bit hard to get in and out, but they sure are spending some money on the place. Nice average room, nothing bad but not as spectacular as the main building appears, the food was also average though the restaurant is located... More

My husband and I stayed for one night last May bank holiday weekend. It is a beautiful building, full of history. Our bedroom was in the courtyard and was very modern and clean and obviously recently refurbished. We had a very good evening meal and breakfast the next morning. The food was a good standard and the staff were all... More

This is a stunning building with so much history, very imposing. The extensions of the rooms have been well done although the windows are small. The rooms are clean but corporate lacking in any character compared to the hotel you are booking. For the number of rooms it lack other facilities ie spa. It caters predominately for weddings. Food average... More

Although there are small things about Boringdon that I'd love to see changed (fluorescent bulbs in historic chandeliers, tacky fake brass wall sconces, flat pillows, nonexistent wake-up calls...to name a few) our room was a good value for the price and the grounds are lovely.

My husband and I got married here on 4-5-13 :) it was the most perfect day we could have asked for. Service was fantastic, the food was amazing and myself and the guests were continuously asked by management if there was anything that he or the wedding coordinator could do to help. The change around of rooms were prompt and... More

Very attractive hotel in old manor house. The approach through the housing estate should not put you off - it's great when you get there. Our group were very well looked after by recently arrived manager who tried hard to make sure everything was right for us. Food, in the context of group dining, was very good too. Relaxing bars... Having stayed at Boringdon a few times before; i decided to hold a business meeting there. Gemma in conferences was very helpful and professional before, during and after my event. We spoke frequently and on the day she co-ordinated the event very well. With nearly 25 guests dinner was served quickly and food of a good standard. The Elizabethan Room... More

From the moment we drove up the drive to be met by a magnificent Elizabethan hall I was blown away. My husband had been before and raved about it so I came to see what the fuss was about. I was not disappointed. We had booked two nights got the last room which was a family room so we were... More

This is an attractive hotel, based on a late Medieval grange turned into a manor house. The bedrooms are mostly located in modern wings built to blend in with the main house and my room had been recently refurbished. The problem is that too many of the staff are young and inexperienced, so the service at meals and the servicing... More

We stayed in a family suite for just one night as we were visiting the moors the next day. The room was well presented with good amenities. There were some minor repair issues with the room and some stains on the carpet. Through the night a resident from another room seemed to be having a party right through the night... More
