A warm welcome, professional friendly staff and a real feeling that they a genuinely pleased to see you. Breakfast was superb. My single room was a little on the small side but this is not enough to prevent me from staying again. Its a pleasure to stay in a place that is well run, spotlessly clean and NOT a chain.... More

We spent 1night at The Imperial, Plymouth. We were greeted by one of the owners on arrival while parking the car. We checked in with Steve the duty manager and shown to our room. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and eager to please. Wish we had stayed 2 nights as our next stop in Weymouth was a... More

Small family run hotel. Owners very welcoming and make a great effort, taking time to be friendly and provide local information. Rooms reasonable size. Bar area very quiet. Some nice touches such as free drinking water dispenser in the hallway and heated towel rail in the bathroom. Very quiet area at night. Breakfast is very good here. Free wi-fi. For... More

Although the reviews quote hotel it is important to state that this is a 5 star guest house which can be easily mistaken for a hotel. We have stayed on two occassions for more than 1 night and we have already booked again for this year. If you are looking for a friendly, clean and excellent family run hotel /... More

This is my third time staying at the Imperial and I can't recommend it highly enough. As always the staff are so friendly and the rooms lovely. I even had a massage in my room whch you just have to do. I have massages quite often but she had absolutely the best hands in plymouth :-) Don't leave without having... More

Stayed here for 1 night with family. Excellent value for money, very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and a great choice for breakfast. Wouldn't class it as a 5 star but would definately stay here again. More

We were just using Plymouth as a stopping point overnight so wanted something Central, Comfortable and Clean. The Imperial was all of these and looked like the rooms had been recently decorated and were spacious, comfortable and clean. The only problem with the renovations was the Eco-friendly, Guest Unfriendly Toilets which block if you put more than a few pieces... More

Second stay at The Imperial - this time for daughter's graduation. Brilliant small hotel with excellent rooms, very good breakfast and top class staff who make the stay a joy. Value for money is fantastic, location perfect. Parking a bit of a pain but common sense and good humour of staff and other guests, who are made to feel at... More

my review can only repeat the previous reviews, we stayed for 1 night only as a stopover after arriving on the Roscoff ferry before continuing our northward journey and the Imperial experience is one that I would repeat again & again, this will be my first choice when I need to stay in Plymouth because, the room was excellent, the...
