My daughter and I were visiting Plymouth to attend an open day at the University and decided to stay at the Hotspur mainly because of location and recommendation from Trip Advisor reviews. I am glad we did because the service was excellent, the location perfect for the University, town centre and other amenities, parking was available at £2 per day... More

My husband and I came at the beginning of September to deliver our son to Uni! Were met by an extremely friendly and helpful lady who showed us our room. Very nice and clean, extremely comfortable bed.I am a fussy person about ensuites and this one, although not large definately passed the cleanliness test easily! We were told about how... More

Unfortunately the B&B we normally stay at was fully booked, so after seeing the reviews on here decided to book this one. Initially met by a gentleman, who did not introduce himself, then shown to the room, Room was clean and well maintained, ensuite contained shower, toilet and hand basin, additionally handwash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers available but no shower... This is a very nice guest house near to the city centre and station. We were very well received and this friendliness endured throughout our stay. The guest house was spotless and well appointed. Breakfast great. A very good place to stay. More

Stayed at the Hotspur as recommended on Google, by the university and art college. My son had to attend an interview, so we travelled together, having pre-booked a twin room. Everything was brilliant and I have never seen such clean toilets/showers/bathrooms, the hygiene standards here surpass anything. The beds were extremely comfortable, flat screen tv wall mounted for optimal viewing.... More

Arrived without reservation and a room was found for me, very friendly, excellent value for money. Only issue was that there didnt seem to be any help in the kitchen so breakfast took an extremely long time - this is a minor point though and i would re3commend this B&B More

The service we recieved was good and friendly. Breakfast was well cooked and quickly served and advice about the city and location was given freely. The rooms were well equipped and warm (it snowed during our stay) and beds were very comfy. The location of Hotspur was perfect for us as we were visiting the university which was literally across... We stayed for only one night but were welcomed warmly, given lots of help and advice about the town and enjoyed a very comfortable room and a most excellent braekfast. Cannot find fault with this guesthouse and will certainly both use it again and reccomend it to friends. More
