Everything was nicely decorated and spotless, and the room was very warm on a very cold night. Breakfast was good, and the staff very helpful and friendly. The location is very central, and having a car park is an added bonus. In all, great value. More

Stayed here for one night last night and it is very good value for money. We chose this guesthouse, as it has private free parking at the rear of the property. This was necessary as we had a large amount of luggage in the car. Staff very helpful and attentive and breakfast was very good indeed. Location is ideal for... More

Stayed at Number One to attend son's graduation ceremony and was very impressed with accommodation. It is clean and rooms are spacious. Showers could have been better but did not diminish our stay overall. Location is excellent and parking is an added bonus in Plymouth. More

Booked Number One after being let down by other hotel. A first class guest house, very clean in all areas. Light and airy rooms of a good standard. Staff and owners very accomodating and helpfull. Breakfast of a good standard with a variety to cover all tastes. Only poor point being the mixer showers in the bathrooms not a very... More

I stayed with 2 friends for a weekend in July. The bedrooms were spotless, had everything we could ask for and were extremely comfortable for a weekend without husbands and children! The hotel is perfectly situated for beautiful walks along the hoe, catching the ferry over to Cornwall, or strolling into town for some shopping or restaurants. Didn't need to... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived a little early, our room wasn't quite ready but we were able to park the car in the large carpark and go for a walk. The room was clean and tidy and quite large, with a lovely big window. Breakfast was nice with good service.... More

I travelled to Plymouth with my adult daughter and we wanted to be near the theatre. We had to travel 252 miles after work on Friday and most b and bs in the area had quite early "latest" check in times. The Number One website said ten o'clock but we phoned when we got stuck in traffic and the owner... More

Good basic B&B in a well refurbished Regency house. Very freindly maid at breakfast. In excellent position for Barbican, Hoe, Theatre & city centre, with it's own free parking. Bathrooms are a little dated but the whole place is spotlessly clean. Only drawback are the noisy seagulls, but thats the seaside I suppose. More

Beautifully refurbished Victorian(?) building. All new carpets, beds etc, extremely comfortable lounge. Owners/staff very accommodating with nothing too much trouble. Lovely breakfast. Ideal for weekend breaks or for business travellers. Situated just off the Hoe, easy walking to the major shopping areas with plenty of pubs and resturants on the harbour side. Very reasonable rates More
