As a intended 5day break for us,we were faced with "have we arrived at Faulty Towers or have we been pick up as homeless" we had been contacted by the hotel after emailing them and booked a "Superior room" with balconoy but....we got a so called Superior room with no balconoy but with extras thrown in...lots of flys which lived... more

First, we should say that we've stayed at lots of the hotels in both Linton and Lynmouth and have never yet been disappointed by ANY of them! These days, though, we usually stay at The Tors because it's convenient for Lynmouth itself, and offers good parking . It's difficult to fault and is well up to the 3-star rating. Some... more

Wonderful elevated location perched on the hill side overlooking beautiful Lynmouth which is a 5 minute steep down hill walk away. Fantastic views from the restaurant, lounge and balcony. Stayed just 1 night with 5 friends in 3 en suit rooms which all had fine views (it appeared no rooms faced the view less rear. Ample off street parking. The... more

Just had a really great short break at the Tors. Good and friendly welcome at reception from duty manageress. Nice clean surroundings and efficient staff that led to a relaxing break. Great veggie breakfast with views of Lynmouth below you, what more do you want. Now I have discovered it I will return. The Exmoor saver was excellent value for... more

Public parts of the hotel, (reception, dining room etc), were mostly ok but the standard of the rooms we stayed in was poor for the price we were expected to pay. I have stayed in hotels for 3 out of the last 12 months and the accommodation on offer at the Tors isn't a patch on standard business accommodation at... more

Great location, lovely warm pool and takes dogs! However let down by urine stained carpet around toilet, and 100s of flies both dead and alive mainly in the restaurant. Dead flies were not removed by staff the following day and flies were allowed to feed on canopies placed too early on tables in the evening, in preparation for guests to... more

We booked The Tors Hotel as a last minute getaway. We have previously visited the area and had seen The Tors but we have mostly camped. As in previous reviews, the decor is slightly dated. But everything is clean and you have everything you could need in your room. We stayed in a standard room which had a wonderful view... more

We booked this hotel, as a last minute weekend get away, 2 kids 10, 14, 1 dog - 2 adults. The hotel is a little dated, but comfortable the food served in the restaurant was great and the service was excellent. Downside- don't like the fact the kids had a choice to either eat in the restaurent with us -... more

Words cannot describe how shocked I am following a recent stay at this "Fawlty Towers" hell hole. Service bordered on the rude, the food in the evening was simply "not available" (restaurant or bar snack), and the fabric of the Hotel seemed to be disintegrating. Whilst Health Inspectors would probably not find anything within the letter of the law to... more

We originally booked into the Tors as they allowed dogs to stay (for a £5 supplement). Our greeting on arrival was friendly and the room whilst perhaps due a spot of decorating, was well appointed with a balcony and stunning views even if the bathroom was on the small side. The food and service in the restaurant was perfect (we'd... more
