We were stuck for somewhere to stay in Cornwall and got lucky and found Thurlestone Guesthouse. Gary and family could not of been more accomodating, making us all feel very welcome. The rooms and service were superb and the location was great for exploring that part of cornwall. I will definately be using them again and recommending them to my... More

Stayed for three nights to attend a wedding at the nearby Carbis Bay Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. After a warm welcome we were delighted to find we had been upgraded to a sea view room at the same price. Plenty of parking, easy to find, clean decent-sized room, free wifi, bar and fantastic breakfasts. Owners very helpful and... More

Just spent a couple of very comfortable nights at this place while on a surf trip last week. Gary and Mandy couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming and the rooms and service were excellent. The lounge/bar was also comfortable and we were more than happy to stay in a have a few quiet beers as opposed to going out.... More

Spent 2 nights there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Was greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome. Clean, modern rooms with a good view from front facing rooms, good food and nothing was too much bother. Yet again, larger hotels could learn a lot from these family run guest houses when it comes to looking after the... More

I stayed with my partner for 5 nights during the beginning of September. The B&B is situated very close (5 min steep walk) to Carbis Bay beach on the main road (no trouble sleeping) which we believe is the nicer than the beaches down in St Ives - less busy and touristy. It will cost you £6/7 to get a... More

I would highly recommend this accommodation. The hosts, Mandy and Gary, were extremely hospitable. I was picked up from the local station on arrival and also given a lift back on my return home, which was much appreciated. It was also great to stay somewhere where the hosts have good local knowledge, are able to advise on, things to do,... More

Stayed at Thurlestone Guest House for a short break Sept 2011. The location in Carbis bay is excellent to discover what Cornwall has to offer, with St Ives just a short drive up the road and Penzance, Marazion and hayle also on your doorstep. The Guest house is a beautiful former chapal and has been renovated to a high standard.... More
