We were a party of four originating from Frankfurt am Main ( Germany ), flew non-stop to Newquay from Hahn Airport and with a rented car first to Torquay then Weymouth and finally ended up a Mike's place for a 4 nights stay. Parked the car in a nearby street for three pounds a day. Mike gave us a very warm friendly welcome, showed us to our clean & spacious rooms, explained about the times for breakfast and gave us the password for the free wifi. As soon as you leave the house and turn left within a few yards you are on the main street , full of souvenir shops, pubs/bars restaurants etc from there to the beach is only a few mins walk. Back to Mike's place, I did mention to him about the shower - not very powerful and not a great deal of water volume coming out of the shower-head, he explained this was a common problem with old properties! Mike & Gill on the other hand certainly served a tasty full English breakfast , a continental style breakfast was also available. We felt at home in the Pencrebar B&B, Mike was a great help and gave us plenty of tips about where to visit in the local area. It's certainly worth trying out, you won't be disappointed.

What a lovely guest house! Traveling solo so I was looking for somewhere central, not too pricey and above all clean! Pencrebar was exactly what I wanted. Room facility's are great, fluffy towels, very clean, very friendly staff, lovely breakfast. I have nothing bad to say about my stay. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

The hotel was clean and homely ,the owners were very accommodating and we're always on hand if you needed anything ,the bed and breakfast was in the perfect location within walking distance of beach and town , you had to pay for seperate parking however that was only a short walk and 6 quid for 24 hours which isn't bad ....I would definitely recommend to anyone and would chose to come again and the breakfast each morning was lovely couldn't complain ☺️

we have just stayed at PENCREBAR Newquay for 3 nights. It is like home from home. Mike and Gill work so hard to ensure you have a warm and welcome stay. The cooked breakfast is A1 (never seen such thick bacon!) Thank you so much we will be back. thoroughly recommend

Room Tip: we had room 3, it overlooked the road but double glazing worked well!

Great location, close to town, walkable to Fistral Beach etc. Breakfasts cooked to order and continental selection good. Breakfast is only served between 9 - 9.30 which is slightly late. If you are there for only a short stay you want to have left the house by 9 am to get out and about - Not waiting for the breakfast because it was included in your room rate. Car parking is advertised as being available but it can be a bit of a lottery to secure one if the two leased parking spots (shared with another BnB) the owners have access to. Might want to check that if you need it guaranteed. Rooms serviced daily, bathroom/ shower space is small - but then are most in b n b - but at least it was your own. The outside traffic noise is quiet - but inside you can hear every movement and sound from the adjoining room. Don't go there for your honeymoon if you know what I mean.

Very clean room, fresh towels every day and breakfast was without fault (even when we order a mix and match of the set menu). Hosts were friendly and accommodating and its in in a prime location for newquay town, would stay again without a doubt.

This is an excellent B&B. Mike was extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't meet Gill. Rooms were very clean although the beds were slightly uncomfortable, but that can be a personal preference. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Would definitely stay again. Within walking distance to the town and beaches.

We were met by a smiling and very friendly proprietor and shown to our room. We had an attic room which unfortunately meant a lot of stairs. The room was compact and tastefully furnished and the shower was adequate although not very powerful. The view outside our room was a graffiti covered wall but I did not book the room for a view. Breakfast was plentiful and hot but make sure you have completed the form to let the owners know what you would like for breakfast, suffice to say we didn't make that mistake again. There is no onsite parking and the car park is a 5-6 minute walk from the property and close to the town centre. I would recommend this place as it is very close to all the local amenities

Stayed for three nights, very comfortable and spotlessly clean.. Loved the breakfast and there is a good choice. Mike is very helpful and there are some great facilities in the room, including a fridge , kettle,TV and even a hair dryer . Very good value all round. Would definitely book to stay again.

We stayed at pencrebar for five nights. The room was tidy and clean and had a small fridge which we found useful. Breakfasts were really tasty, mike was the perfect host and made us feel welcome. Would really recommend pencrebar as it's right in the centre of town and very good value for money
