I would have to rate this hotel a 0.00000… it is one of the hotels I have been in that I will NEVER visit EVER again and I hope people take my advice….. I had to endure weed being smoked opposite my room and the smell filtered In where I was sleeping was not good on my health and my fellow occupants on the same floor! The hotel manager did nothing to prevent this from happening only said… I can’t really ask….. I don’t know what room it is….. what a pointless remark…. I investigated myself told them to stop smoking went and asked for a refund and was refused…. Apparently it’s policy… If you’re unwell … a refund is totally acceptable In my eyes … and MANY OTHER HOTELS….. The breakfast was shocking and sad….. and I have never seen a reception desk so empty every day…. The whole hotel is dated to 1960s…. We try to live in hope….. this HOTEL DOESNT!

Great hotel, comfortable and away from the bustle but only a few mins walk to the town. Great for walkers as they have a kitchen and a laundry room. Breakfast is buffet style, with a good variety. Friendly helpful staff. Only stayed one night as we were passing through walking the coastal path but would well recommend and would definitely stay again.

We were in Cornwall for a family funeral and booked into The Glendeveor B&B We arrived at 3pm as planned, there is plenty of on-site parking available We were welcomed at reception and the set up was explained, given our key and left to find our Room 19 on the second floor The room was quite compact but with everything we needed for a two night stay with Tea and Coffee making facilities and great views out over the church and harbour plus a spacious bathroom with toilet and shower etc, Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of cereal's, fruit, hot and cold drinks but the choice of hot breakfast was limited but nicely cooked We enjoyed our short stay and would go back if we needed to!

We stayed here bank holiday August weekend. After reading some reviews that wasn't great I was a little worried however I really didn't need to be at all.the staff are fantastic and the room is clean and comfortable and has all you need for a break away. The bar isn't open but you can use the bar area and facilities, pool table,TV.ice machine etc and take you own drinks. The breakfast was good continental with 3 hot items also (sossage, beans, scrambled eggs) all you can eat,we found this more than enough to sart the day but there's plenty of places to eat out if it's not for you. Car parking was good there sempt to be a new spot each time I left and came back so always managed to park. I'll definitely be staying here again we really enjoyed it thank you 😊

My partner booked the room for a birthday get away. First time in Newquay. It was like stepping into a time warp! Very very dated. The room was very basic, over looking an awful back yard, full of rubbish and broken glass windows opposite. The shower, oh my word the shower! It was so slow and very low, I had to duck whilst showering but the shower cubicle itself was tiny…I could barely turn around and I’m hardly the biggest of women at 5ft 4 and size 8!! After returning from our meal and drinks at around midnight, we could hear very loud voices from upstairs. The walls are paper thin, you can hear ever word spoken, every door shut and even the toilet flushing in other rooms. The people above us were obviously drunk and were arguing badly into the early hours of the morning. It was quite frightening, two men arguing and things being thrown. My partner contacted the reception a few times but it went to answer phone each time. He was going to try to get help but I was too scared to allow him to leave the room incase he came face to face with the people who were arguing. After just a few hours of restless sleep (the room was so hot, even with the window open wide and no fan provided!…along with the arguing) breakfast was…ok! The only choice of hot cooked food was sausages, scrambled egg and beans. I settled for crumpets! We prefer a cooked breakfast when we’re away, a cooked breakfast that offers more than three items! The only positive was the parking. There was plenty of that. We usually visit Torquay for my birthday night away, safe to say we will be sticking to what we know. This hotel has really put us off Newquay!

The hotel has definitely seen better days and could do with a refresh but it’s perfectly decent for a weekend. I did stay during the heatwave and not having AC was a bit of issue but that’s not gonna be an issue very often. Bed was comfy, room was a little cramped and I did get the last parking space so parking can be an issue. But it was a good price, good location, friendly staff, decent breakfast. And having a guest kitchen was very handy

Stayed for a long weekend during a very busy holiday period. Room was comfortable but the bathroom rather cramped. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of everything. It is less than five minutes walk from the town centre and even closer to the land train stop. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We made full use of the leisure facilities.

We stayed as a family with a toddler. The rooms were very clean although too small to safely use the travel cot so we did struggle with our toddler. We either had to put up the travel cot in front of the door so no exit out or up against the wall with plug sockets. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from and fresh every morning. The staff were very friendly and having a food prep room with large fridge, microwave and washing machine was an excellent addition. I would say the beds were very uncomfortable. Cheaper end memory foam mattress meant that after 10 mins we were feeling the divan base through the mattress so our nights sleep was awful and for this reason only we wouldn’t stay again and gave 3 stars. If it wasn’t for the bad nights I would have given 4 stars and happily stayed again in a room more suited to a travel cot.
