Welcoming staff. Rang to say we were going to be a little late and they were friendly and even knew how far away we were. Lovely clean room with the heater on waiting for us, we had to open the window as we were too hot. Breakfast was nice too, a selection of items available and not just standard full... More

Stayed for one night last month on a very wet and windy night in mid January - booking in could not have been simpler, very clean, great service, well furnished rooms and personal service that I thought was excellent. Will stay again next time I am in the area.

I visited Falmouth during a very cold spell in most of the UK, although it was +4.5 in Falmouth. I stayed at the Gyllingvase on the recommendation of a friend. It was good value, the facilities were adequate but the hotel is showing signs of age. Most of the windows are single glazed sash type and are drafty and the... More

A saturday night stay in a single room was more than satisfactory, effiecent, warm, clean and quiet. The booking made through a booking web site proved easy and well organised. I was expected on arrival, even though I arrived early the romo was ready and waiting. The single room was suitable and the only element that I was not entirely... More

Although the rooms are a little dated they are clean and comfortable. I visited last minute with work and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms had everything you need and were warm and comfortable. Only minor point is noise from the road - this didn't bother me as i am used to it but worth baring in... More

This hotel was very let down by the room. The food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Also the location was good and there was parking but room 18 was dreadful. Firstly it smelt of damp as the shower room / toilet had no ventilation. We had the window fully open thought our 2 night stay but the... More

Having just returned from a stay in Falmouth, I fellt it necessary to write a review on the great place I stayed. I have to say I was a little concerned following a recent review prior to our stay at the Gyllyngvase House Hotel in Falmouth. I arrived in Falmouth on Sunday lunchtime, with enough time to enjoy so quiet... More

We stayed in Room 18 for a friends wedding in early September. The hotel was in an ideal location.. 5mins to the main high street and 2 mins to the beach. The staff were really friendly giving us a map on arival and giving reccomendations of places to eat. The room as previously slated by another reviewer was absolutely fine.... More

The hotel is quiet, and lounge, bar, and dining rooms comfortable, clean and tidy. Parking wasn't a problem. Breakfast was good but the service was impersonally efficient. Room 18 was a small double. The shower and toilet were ensuite in a tiny cubicle entered through an unlockable sliding door. The sink was, inconveniently, at the other side of the bedroom... More

Obviously one can see from the following review that these comments are spurious. It is a relief when some guests say they won't be back because in all honesty they wouldn't be welcomed back anyway! More
