This is a traditional local pub, though in a historic building. Dart boards, floral carpet. But, seeking a Sunday lunch on a rainy winter's day, we were served pleasantly and promptly, and the roast beef was excellent - £10 for two. Marston's English Pale Ale on tap.

A bit of Jekyl and Hyde with the "new owners". Took my girlfriend in there while on a mini-break. The couple (owners) smile sweetly, are chatty, gladly accept your tips all night (and even say "bless you!" when you do tip them). Great. Until there's a problem. In my experience, a vending machine in the gents that took my money...

Forget the word "tired" this is exhausted.
I can put up with things not being spot on, but this place was dirty, grimey and made your flesh shiver.
The bathroom was a no go area.
A gret location in the town but absolute rubbish accomodation"
