Lovely lovely location -- stunning views -- but the best thing was how delicious the food was. The Fish and Chips -- basic English grub -- were beautifully done. And excellent walk along hte sandstone trail just through the garden.

Stayed here for 3 nights recently , lured by the views more than anything ! What a good decision !! Our room was in the annexe just across from the main building ....6 rooms in there , 3 up & 3 down , none particularly big but perfectly adequate . We were in Chester (upstairs) , I think the only... Called in for Sunday lunch yesterday after a recommendation from a work colleague. It was very busy even at 15.30 but after a short wait by the bar (5mins) we were shown to a table. The menu is quite extensive for a pub but with some dishes which you wouldn't expect. We opted for Asparagus with Poached Egg and Hollandaise... More

Stayed at The Pheasant on a two day trip down memory lane with my family. It had been my Grandfather's favourite pub and my mother tells stories of sitting on the wall drinking pop, the aroma of the muck heap which then graced the courtyard in the air! Today, it is a beautiful pub with stunning views, delicious food, and,... More

It is hard to find any fault with the Pheasant Inn. The location is stunning whatever the weather, the building is well maintained inside and out. Staff are polite and helpful and there is a great atmosphere. Food is fresh, well cooked and well presented with an excellent menu choice that should suit most tastes. Unable to find any negatives.

What can I say other than what a pleasure it was to stay here. We stayed in the Tabley room and it was lovely with everything you would expect. The location of the Pheasant Inn is delightful especially on a sunny day giving amazing views. The food was brilliant there were 4 of us in our party and everyone really... More

Stayed at the Pheasant inn now three times and never disappointed, the staff are always welcoming. and most importantly no matter how busy the inn is you always get served quickly at the bar. As we arrived for our stay after a busy day watching the racing at Oulton Park we checked in which went efficiently and without any hitches... More

My wife and I had set off from Delamere station (a bit short as the start is at Frodsham) to walk the Sandstone Trail stopping for the night at the Pheasant. After about 15 miles it was a truly welcome sight . I had booked the Eaton room which from the photograph of the front of the building is the... More

The pheasant inn is always a delight to visit on a sunny day; the beautiful views over the Chester plain are always a good start. They have planted flowers everywhere, which is a nice touch; the pub has a well looked after beer garden, which is ideal in the sun. Food is consistently top notch; do book ahead and enjoy!
