this travel lodge is in a good location for every thing chester has to offer the, our room had windows that could not be opened but there was air con if needed, the room is what you always get at travel lodge, but it was clean and bed comfy staff very helpful would stay there again.

Location is great, however, the room (129) was extremely dirty. The carpet had sick stains in many places and the walls were marked. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and sloped towards the middle. The pillows were paper thin. Looking at the state of the corridors and reading the other reviews (which I should have obviously done prior to my visit... More

Right in the heart of Chester. No car park but a multi storey really close. Very basic, just towels and one bar of small soap, but clean. Very apprehensive after reading reviews and even though booked for two nights thought we might only stay for one. We had a good sized room (plenty of space for my mobility scooter -... More

After reading some of the reviews regarding the cleanliness,I have to admit I was a bit worried about staying here. However, after being checked in by a lovely lady, our fears were alleviated. The room was spotlessly clean and although basic, thats what you expect from a Travelodge with the prices they charge. Location was superb, just opposite the amphitheatre, and a stones throw from the river,park,walls... More

Stayed in this hotel for a night out on Saturday 13th April 2013, ok it's titled as "no frills" and 90% of customers use it only as a bed for the night when out drinking but surely a bit of a clean every now and then isn't so much to ask?! On entering, the first thing that came into my... More

Stayed there a few days ago with my wife. It was like most travelodges I have stayed at, cheap, basic and clean. What more could you want for £24 a night in a city centre. parking was close by on Pepper St (i think that is the correct spelling). out of the door to the right beneath the archway. I... More

We stay in many travelodges however this is one of the best!! New hotel, excellent location, great value! We stayed on a Wednesday evening & got a room for 24pounds. The room (123) was exceptionally large with high ceilings & lots of extra space, great if you were taking a baby with a cot & buggy. The room was above... More

Although I was here on I thought this Travelodge is placed and priced ideally for exploring the city of Chester. The room was clean and tidy, bed was a bit spongy, but all good. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite their computer not working properly. My only gripe was that I'd paid for wifi and didn't receive a... More
