As a family, we have stayed in several Travelodge's in the past. I have to say this was the most disappointing. Finding it is the first challenge, driving through a car wash that looks ready for demolition! The Receptionist spoke 3 words to us and handed us the key, not great customer service. The room smelt of bleach, which at... more

We are travelodge regulars - you really cannot beat them for value. However - this one smelld REALLY bad.....like the cleaner had B.O.or something. So bad that we asked to change room. The second one smelled only marginally more appealing, but we settled in and after a very jolly trip to Cambridge for a most jolly and fabulous meal, which... more

Do not stay here! Lower corridor smelt like cats urine. Bath taps and rails were scummy from soap residue. Poor access - didn't feel safe. Kettle and flex dirty. towel rail disconnected for safety reasons - so no dry towlels once they were used. Try 'Purple' across the carriageway at Cambridge services instead or some other place but I would... more

The first mistake was that our taxi driver stated he knew 'exactly' where he was going and took us across the motorway to a Premier Inn which I must say suited us quite nicely until we were informed we'd checked into the wrong place. So, another taxi and 10 pounds later we arrived on the other side of the road... more

This is a standard British Travelodge, the layout and furnishings standard for this chain. It is situated about four miles north of Cambridge and access to the city centre is quite straightforward once one manages to get out of the motel and back on the road outside (see below). The bedroom and bathroom were clean, other than the shower curtain,... more

The entrance and exit to this travelodge is extremely dangerous as you are forced to pull into the car park from a very busy trunk road and then you have to join the same road to leave with no time to build up speed. Also dirty rooms. more

After the first night, we complained that the toilet was dirty. When we returned later, the toilet had not been cleaned. In addition both bedroom and bathroom were dirty, te bed was not made up and the floor had not been vacuumed. In short, the place was disgusting and we shall not be staying there again. more

Ok it's only a Travelodge, but for £15 pounds a night we thought it was excellent. We were having a weekend break in Cambridge and the city centre is of course expensive, yet only a short drive away was the travelodge. The park and ride was a 10 min drive away, much easier and cheaper than trying to park in... more

I spent a sole night at the Swavesey Travelodge in mid-October after having snagged a couple of rooms at the bargain price of 15 pounds. The Swavesey travelodge is located a considerable distance from the center of Cambridge, and was particularly hard to find at night. If you're not familiar with the area, and are driving in from another town,... more

We spent 2 nights here which we got on the £15 a night offer Travelodge have been running. It is exacty what you expect/need fron a Travelodge. They have seriously pared down what they offer in the rooms - only soap, no toiletries, only one towel and pillow per person, no hairdyer , bath mat etc, but we were well... more
