I have stayed at Fairways a few times on my visits to Cambridge and would defiantly stay again, they have up dated the rooms since i first went there and they now have a more airy feeling. The breakfast is very nice and there is quite a lot of choice, The staff are friendly and helpful and my room was... More

My first impression of fairways was one of "it looks nothing like the photo's". There was a funny smell, of a smell covering a smell. My single room was tiny, and the decoration was unimaginative. Brown bed cover, brown curtains, and grey carpet. The carpet extended into the bathroom. Which I felt was odd. Tiles would have looked cleaner, and... More

Hotel was clean and comfortable with good secure parking. Owners were welcoming but not over enthusaistic. Breakfast was good but the dining room is like a time warp, in truth the whole place could do with a bit of a makeover, but it's fine for a one night stop.

We chose this B&B out of many that were available in the area, based on good reviews we'd read online. When we arrived at 6pm the landlady wasn't very welcoming (Not even a "hello") & there was an over-powering smell of cooking. We were asked for payment immediately, we weren't shown to our room just told we were in room... More

Friendly proprietors and good parking. Unusual in that full payment is required on arrival. Room would be OK for price but my single bed sloped sideways and the shower hose needed replacing: it kept kinking so that the water flow stopped - it took forever to have a shower. There was nowhere in the cramped shower cublcle to rest soap... More

First impressions were not great, but once we were in our room we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a family room, it was tight, but fine. The room was clean and cleaned nicely daily even though it was tight. The bathroom was small and just ok, but really it had all we needed - just nothing fancy. Breakfast was... More

Mike and Tracey the owners were very welcoming and I found my room clean and tidy and more than fit for purpose. The breakfast is great and Mike is very helpful in his knowledge on food and diet. If you need to be this side of Cambridge then well worth considering over a more expensive hotel.
