We booked the cottage at Rectory Farm for the weekend so that we could stay with our young family and attend a special event in Cambridge. It was a good decision and a reasonable alternative to booking 3 hotel rooms and coping with small children in a hotel. Given that the weather was chilly for the time of year, the... More

Very relaxing and peaceful. Delightful gardens and house. Lovely walk through the countryside to the local pub in Caton. The breakfast was excellent. Would recommend. More

We used Rectory Farm as venue for the reception after our family wedding. Roger and Alison Foster were exemplary in all they did for us and it made for a very happy weekend. The service was superb and breakfast was quite delicious. The use of the tennis court was wonderful and kept the groom, best man, brother and father of... More

Just a one-night stay, so didn't get a chance to explore, but this is a great choice if you want a B&B with some personality, as opposed to a budget chain hotel. It IS a little distant from the centre, but closer than some of the budget hotels up the A14, and it makes up for this of course with... More

Rectory Farm is a beautiful building situated a couple of miles outside of Cambridge in charming countryside. The atmosphere and decor are very 'English', which suits its surroundings but won't be to everyone's taste. My girlfriend and I loved it. Our room was very bright, airy, exceptionally clean and offered a wonderful view of the grounds. The bathroom was well... More

My husband and I stayed for three nights and were very impressed. Typical country house style accommodation with a large welcoming sitting room for guests. It was very nice to see an 'honesty' bar. Excellent cooked breakfasts. Pleasant owners and staff. Wonderful grounds. Super local pub that does good food. We shall stay here on our future visits to Cambridge... More

We stayed for one night when our son was beginning his first term at university. The house and garden and our lovely room were superb. The breakfast was wonderful. The only small downside was the distance from the city centre which meant we had to pay for a cab back after dinner. Would definitely recommend. More

We are a young couple with two children and very little money to spare, so we rarely get away for a break, but having arranged for family to look after our children and been given some cash for birthday, we pre-booked a suite for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. Imagine our disappointment when on arrival, we were informed... More
