We hired both rooms for two nights for a family trip to Cambridge. Comfortable, convenient and well appointed, with a thoughtful host. Absolute peace, field paths to wander when not being a Cambridge tourist. Hope to go there again some day. More

A tranquil setting and a warm welcome from the owner greeted us for a one night stay. The accommodation was spotless and spacious and the bed very comfortable. Everything we needed was there and more. More

I stayed at Whale Barn with my mother and brother whilst our dad was being treated at the nearby Papworth Hospital. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. Lovely spacious en-suite rooms (one with terrace),with the use of a small kitchen and washing machine as well. Excellent facilities. I stayed here during a business trip to Cambridge. Just a few minutes off the A428 meant that I was close enough to access Cambridge easily. I stayed in the family room which (huge comfy bed with nice sheets) has a terrace and outdoor seating where it was nice to sit in the early morning sun having breakfast! There is... More

I stayed here as part of a group of nine (very classy, well-behaved!) 'hens' for the Saturday night of a weekend trip to Cambridge, and had reserved the double ensuite room (others had the family room, another double or camped). Once we found the place (which was a bit of a challenge) it was lovely to see that the room... More

I stayed in the family room with grown up son and daughter while my husband was undergoing surgery at Papworth Everard. This was an excellent room for our needs. Having use of the kitchen was great and the food provided for breakfasts was excellent. The private terrace was a bonus. Our hosts made us most welcome and visits from Golly,... More

Set in an off the beaten track location with lovely views, Whale Barn is an ideal centre for Cambridge and many other places of interest. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. It certainly is a place you can relax and ‘chill out’. More

We stayed at the Whale Barn for a long weekend with our 1 year old and we really enjoyed our stay. We were very well looked after and the location is great. I would definitely recommend the Whale Barn. They have a small kitchen for self catering as well, ideal to warm up some baby food! More
