OK so I have a week to stay somewhere relatively close to work ( slough). So unemotional here are the bullet points of my stay : Its a truckers hotel , no frills , hard working tradesman that just want to put their head down and don't care where it is as long as the price is right Manager Jason... I have had breakfast and a late lunch there. Both were excellent. Notable features are the place is spotlessly clean. Service was fast and friendly and the hot food was hot. I had a sandwich in the afternoon and it was made to order, fresh and served with a nice side salad.

I have now been to this cafe on three separate occasions, the last being on Tuesday 19th February 2013. It serves the usual breakfast fare, and that is what I have been looking for on my visits. I cannot comment on lunch time menus. This time, I had a Full English breakfast for £5.00. Well, at least that is what... More

I booked a single room for one night. It was clean, comfortable and (very)warm. I seemed to be the only resident so the shared bathroom was all mine. Breakfast was in the cafe and a cafe type breakfast it was. It suited me perfectly for the stay I required. Nothing fancy, but the sort of no frills accommodation thats hard... More

The single rooms above the cafe are very small and shared bathroom facilities .......... if you are about to move on to look somewhere else DON'T. The rooms are immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean with excellent flat screen television and wi-fi access. The bathroom has been refurbished. Downstairs there is a friendly welcome and the food is very generously portioned,... More

This place is friendly, clean and very well maintained. Rooms are small and the bathroom is shared. Breakfast is included. The red kites are a nice bonus! I'd gladly stay here again.

I booked my room thinking that the website was showing the correct pictures - how wrong I was , very very misleading , the rooms are mainly at the back of the cafe and are very very very small (pics to follow). I complained that I had been given the incorrect keys as I arrived at 1am and found the... More

We arrived on Saturday morning, and was made to feel very much at home. We were given a key and told where to go, they were concerned about the Motorbike being outside the Cafe all night, but there were plenty of security cameras and we were not worried at all. The room was clean, small but lovely... We had everything... More

We came across Chris's Cafe quite by accident - it's set well back from the road. It was a rainy, freezing cold day. We expected nothing more than a cup of tea. What a revelation! Home made Apple Cake that was so sublime we went back the next day to try the Chocolate Brownie with ice-cream. My husband had the... More
